Two part Tiger doc on HBO?

I mean, as long as it doesn’t involve him signing up for a sex cult for heretofore unexplained reasons, should be awesome.

Anth that band was piped into the hallways and locker rooms in high school on a daily basis
Ah... Yeah, I'm sure I've heard it countless times.

I mean I've heard the name, and I don't know their music to comment on, it's just not what I was listening to back then.

If we are talking recognizable music for the masses(a group I fall in) then AIC is 4th at best among the grunge scene. Behind STP, PJ and Nirvana in no particular order.

If you enjoy 90’s harmonies, check out The Floating Men. On spotify. Wangers. Tall Shadows album is a masterpiece.

-to clarify: stp gets lumped in with grunge/seattle...in reality they were created in a lab in LA.

- Anth's AIC take is making me feel better about my Friday 5's. Speaking of, Nirvana had more societal importance but AIC was superior in almost every way.

- Dave Grohl is like everyone's cool uncle. A modern day Lemmy if you will.

- Apparently jokingly asking why Corona virus didn't disappear on November 4th wasn't the play with the hens at work. Funny thing is that both slants parroted that crap for different reasons.

- Trying to temper my enthusiasm for UK basketball after the early football returns. Don't care if we don't win again this year, that UT game was an all timer.

FRIDAY 5

Transient - Makari
Dead Rose - Unprocessed
GOAT - Polyphia
Get Got - Death Grips
Spanish Bay - Strawberry Girls

I'd rank the big 5 this way:

1. AIC
2. Soundgarden
3. Pearl Jam
4. Nirvana
5. STP

Good call. I’d have Soundgarden at 1, though, based on pure talent. STP may have been my favorite, but hard to elevate them over PJ and Nirvana in thegrand scheme of things.

“Man In The Box” would have been my walk-up music if I was in the Show.

Potential hot take Inc. Grunges big 4 was better than metals. Metallica is better than all of them but is carrying a ton of water for slayer and anthrax. Megadeth gets respect knucks for its early catalog but is approaching acdc territory by coming out with the same album multiple times over the past two decades.

Pretty impressed with AC/DC's new album. Not bad for a bunch of guys who are near nursing home age. I thought Brian Johnson's hearing loss ended the band as we knew it but they are back.

Not sure you can say anything about grunge and not include Smells Like Teen Spirit...it effectively started the era.

Post Malone’s Nirvana concert was literally the best musical thing of 2020, IMO.

I stole this from somebody else, but I think it's why AIC is in a different tier to me than all the others....

It's the vocal harmonies man. It just added a different sound, and they really were way groovier and harder than "the rest". The rest of the bands all end up sounding very similar at times. Nobody sounded like Layne and Cantrell.
