Does anyone remember the Miss State game in 04 I think when we looked inept on O In the first half and in the second half Brooks made Hudson spread the field and throw the ball around and we ended up blasting them?

Well unless Piglet has a come to Jesus moment like Brooks did I see things only getting uglier.

Wilson or Gatewood, it didn’t matter. It’s all Gran, and I’m not calling for his job because of what he can do, but I’m still not laying all the blame on Terry even though I think mentally he wasn’t ready to be back.

With Shane Boyd? Not likely. I think we blew them out with Lorenzen maybe the year before.

If we were trying not to get embarrassed, mission accomplished! 🤢

We only knocked out 9 Georgia defensive players to injury. 8 more we may have been able to move the football.

If Georgia fans think they are winning a SEC or National Championship with that dude at QB1......

Gatewood wearing #2 at QB seems wrong to me.

Stoops saying in the press conference, "we were calling deeper plays. QB kept checking down."

Yeah, QBs love checking down. Second, shouldn't question a college QB publicly.

Also, complete BS anyway...when it should be running plays...like to Rodriguez in the red zone...it's still an underneath pass call.

*I'm not "throw it deep every play guy"...but when 11 yards is the biggest pass play you have, with a RB ripping it up. A play action or different offensive set isn't uncalled for a couple GD times. And run the GD ball early every set, especially in the red when Rodriguez carried you there.

Gatewood didn’t even attempt to throw it downfield because he didn’t have confidence in his arm, couldn’t find an open receiver, and couldn’t make fast enough decisions. All of that left him scrambling for his life, despite the offensive line doing their job.

He was terrible today. Per usual, there’s a reason the backup was the backup all season, despite the noise from so many obnoxious fans (myself included).

And the reason we already are hearing some clamoring for Beau Allen.

Say what you want, but Terry did hit a few guys deep this season so the ability of the WRs is there.

Gatewood wasn't good. At all.

Bowden wasn't a great/good passer...but once or twice a game could catch teams off guard and even a bad pass would be a big play after establishing the run all day.

We won't score 40+ a game...but plays to our strength with our line and RB. The end of the first half and the last 5-6 mins of the fourth were awful.

He made better decisions than TW has made this season. Threw the ball away when needed, tucked and ran with better pace when he couldn't find anyone(which was often).

Definitely took too long to read the defense.

First start. Against Georgia. I think he'll get better. I'd like to see some play action but whatever.

I mean, that’s about it. Not a whole lot of SEC caliber playmakers out there.

I feel like a broken record player here, but IF this is true then it’s the coaches job to design plays to create openings/space.

Maybe they can’t line up and run a route to beat the defender, but if the play creates space and the ball gets to the WR, can these guys not run?

That is the part I don’t understand. Crossing patterns, slants, bubble screens, RB screens which all also put pressure on the defense to not stack the box.

I hate the SOB more than I care to explain, but Bobby Petrino was perfect at those play designs.

I did 5 hours of yard work today and it sounds better than watching that game.

Same here. Went to Lowe’s just to wander around, making a mental note for Christmas wants, ended up buying a leaf blower. Hit up Kroger(s) go get stuff for dinner tomorrow (beef stroganoff), then spent the rest of the day trying out my new toy. I did catch Leach and Piccero(?) between stops. They actually were pretty positive considering the circumstances, don’t know.

The lass is gone until tomorrow, ‘twas just me and my thoughts, a nice fall afternoon working in the yard, which looks “fresh”. Just poured my first brown water, should be an even better evening.
