You know who is another odd ball program that had a strange little run?

DePaul -

they were like top 5 for a few years in the 80s and always seemed to be among the elite when ppl talked about contenders

media LOVED that coach too (blanking on name- Myers?) ....

but DAMN if they didnt manage to lose early and badly every year in the tournament....hell I THINK they helped give Chaminade their giant killer reputation (plus Virginia)

And o can’t remember one dick whistle that played for them — Terry Cummings maybe?

their NCAA tournament losses were-always to teams like .......Grambling or Texas South-Northern or maybe IUPIUI-PUI......

then they just went away for good -

Just mandible things:

- GYERO dentalballs aka @Ron Mehico, does Botox for jaw clenching really work? I know it's off label use but I've done everything I can do to escape the TMJ/clenching pain and it's nonstop headache city over here.

-PTI and Wyvern, sorry about your pups. (Narwhals are about as funky as platypus. What say you on those poisonous duckbilled mammals, wyvern?)

-4 on cawood's henbook list, but only because shellfish puts me in the hospital and cauliflower smells like Satan's farts and healthy types pretend it's a valid stand in for carbs. IT IS NOT. STOP THE MADNESS. Cauliflower is broccoli, minus the good flavor and with an extra helping of pungent stank when it is cooked. Like Bunnicula got to broccoli and left it to rot in the fridge.

Dallas Comegys and our Rod Strickland a few years after that era.

-cauliflower is best raw...in fact its the best "veggie tray" vegetable. Very good pickled as well. Cooked is meh...except tandoor (maple leaf location) has a kick *** dish the name of which i cant recall.

-ive been to vegas "twiced". Im good. If i want to gamble I'll go to the greenbrier.

-dogs are the best, gang.

Really sorry to hear that, Pti...nothing beats a beagle. Have had 2 and they are the best. Lost one a couple of yrs back at age 11. 14 is one helluva ride. Keep those memories close.

To be fair I’ve been to Vegas roughly 15 times, so yea, it’s gotten a little stale for Dad. The clientele has also gotten a little, I don’t know, rough for lack of a better word. Glad you necks still love it.

Fell for ya PTI, mine is almost 10 and ole girl has been with me her whole life. Going to crush me when the inevitable happens.

Guessing Turry doesn't return to the team and does the grad xfer thing to a AAC school.

Vegas was good until the UKO’s of the world started going there. Now I just stick to Monte Carlo because of the clientele and the locals aren’t allowed.

cant believe I forgot Strickland !

its like DePaul basketball held a meeting and said ...:”stop doing this shot in public!”

(Not entirely dissimilar from the Kentucky-Indiana football series.....seems that once we had the 3-2 pillow fight - the adults stepped in)

Did anyone like the new Borat movie? I didn’t. Probably a lot of reasons, but just not sure I audibly lol’d at all, which is a far cry from the original.

Have had a soft spot for Chris Rodriguez for a couple years now, mostly because he runs the ball like my big muscular son did. Right through motherf*ckers. Lost art. Glad to see he’s finally getting his due praise.

Halloween this weekend is a trip, man. Whole year has been weird, obviously. But I just have struggled since about March with what time of year I’m in. Boys are still playing baseball which is unusual but Saturday they’ll be trick or treating and Sunday the Christmas tree goes up. man!

those little mini cans of coke are the perfect amount of coke. Just enough to hit the spot without making you feel too bad about yourself for not springing for the diet. Diet Coke sucks btw.

Kendrick is WAAAY overdue for a new album. I’m sure it’ll be political af, but he’s one of those dudes that makes albums you can listen to all the way through and you feel like you’ve just watched a feature film. A true artist, if you will.
