Best case scenario, your potential MIL starts dropping GD's and death threats on players/coaches first, and then the bonding happens.

My go to move this year is the "quickly removing myself from the area" move. You don't look too crazy, just go get some fresh air.

I've been assured by the lass that they're crazier during games than I can possibly be. Guess we'll see. At least it's an early kick so less time for any outside influence to sneak in. Long day left if I make a fool of myself though.

Speaking of good news...

This one hit shelves earlier this week. Should be quite the page-turner!

Look, I defend you like once every 5 years. Don't make me regret it.
I'm being serious here - I'd heard that some of the Biden PACs are sending out talking points to donors. I didn't believe it until I gave $10 a month or so ago and have received multiple emails since then including the 215K number a day or two ago.

* Replaced my dryer about 2 years ago. Washing machine has been on the fritz, and I called a repair guy. Cost more to fix it, by far, than it would to buy a new one. Further proof that this "high efficiency" scam is just a bunch of horse hockey. How gd efficient can an appliance be when....

- they rarely last more than 10 years
- you often have to run the dryer twice just to get your clothes dry
- they cost twice as much

If you've got an old school washer/dryer, hang onto those things for dear life. I mean, your electric and water bill will be a combined $1.39/month higher, but they last forever, have like 4 moving parts apiece, and are super easy to fix.

* Huge life regret --> getting rid of my old fake leather chair we had in the tv room. Thing was falling apart. Looked like ***. Smelled like a dog. But it was the perfect place to plop down for a few after coming home from a run. Or after yardwork. No matter how disgusting I was, that chair was open and welcoming. Now, we only have "nice" furniture. Can't sit anywhere unless you're fresh and clean. F that.

* So, LIKE I WAS SAYING, the Braves are invincible.

* The highlight of Election Night, besides all the awesome tv graphics and touch screen monitors and data, is the knowledge that quite literally half the country will be in a complete and utter meltdown the following day. Threats to move to Canada. Friends unfriending friends. Social media verbal wars.

So and early "F You" to half of you. Sprinkles.

* The New York Times non-fiction bestseller list (via Amazon.com):

- mariah carey auto
- a book about trump
- isabel wilkerson book
- a book about trump
- a book by bill o'reilly
- something by glennon doyle
- a book about trump
- how to be anti-racist
- a book by ted cruz
- candace owens
- a book about trump
- a book about trump
- sean hannity

What. A. Bunch. Of. ****.

* Who has made a better life for himself after suffering an otherwise catastrophic, life-defining ********** --> Reggie Love or Tyronn Lue?

I'll go with Lue, just because he's got a cooler job.

You're telling me there are special interest groups hellbent on influencing the election????

Lay off the sauce, pal. Gonna need some hard proof before any of us fall for this nonsense.

Lue also capitalized from guarding Iverson that series with a big contract from the Wizards. He's rebounded nicely.

215k dead Americans isn't a DNC talking point for me. Sorry, chief. F'n psycho.

Happy to drop it now.

The average American death rate is about 2.8 million/yr.

The average age of death in America is 78.

The average age of Covid death is 78.

The chance of dying from Covid in those under 70 is about 1%.

But let’s shutdown the economy again.

I have to take up for my fellow liberal snowflake Brooks here. I think he jumped the gun in terms of assuming that Chief was downplaying the virus. But I also think others are mistakenly assuming that he is calling for another shutdown and/or stricter measures. He was simply pointing out that the virus is real and has resulted in real casualties.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, GO CATS!!!

Never said to shut the economy down. Again, just saying a lot of people have died. Worth noting IMO.

Sorry, MAGA. You guys are awfully sensitive these days.

It’s amazing the number of thinskinned pussies produced by the F You party.

American deaths should anger you. That anger should mainly be directed at the ******** country that releases all these pandemics, etc. on the world because of their lack of standards. IMO.

China is Asshoe is the biggest threat to the globe(thus the US) ever. Anybody they support should never see office.

People die, IMHO, it’s just what we do one day.

Maybe we should stop drinking, smoking, driving, swimming, eating, breathing, and/or anything else that has to do with living that may or may not kill us because in 2020 we are now the softest scaredest generation of Americans ever.

Id offer a peaceful protest, but in a weird way, people die from that too, somehow!

One of my favorite parts of 2020 might be anything there’s an article that references QAnon there’s a boilerplate disclaimer/explainer paragraph:

QAnon is a conspiracy theory that baselessly claims high-profile Democrats and Hollywood celebrities are ritually sacrificing children as part of a cabal that President Donald Trump is fighting. Online, QAnon followers relentlessly attack public and private figures they imagine to be part of the satanic cabal. Some followers have taken their violent fantasies into the real world, allegedly committing violent crimes, including murder, a fact that moved the F.B.I. to label it a potential domestic terror threat in 2019”

you know, that normal thing that’s become part of the normal political discourse these days
