He got a raw deal by the Clippers, but this is a dumb move. You aren't getting out the the East with Heat, Celts, and Bucks there. 2 of the most over-rated players in Embiid and Simmons.

Rumor is embiid might leave.

Doc is a good coach but if he couldn't win with clippers he won't win with 76ers.

They would be smart to get rid of Embiid and build around Simmons, problem is Embiid has little trade value due to work ethic and injuries...If i were Doc I would have taken the New Orleans job - 2 rising stars in Zion and Ingram and no expectation of winning a conference title anytime soon.

Losing that series had little to do with Doc...players have to step up and perform, I put it more on them than the coach.

Agree that he should have taken the New Orleans job.

Disagree that the Denver loss had little to do with Rivers. Yes, Kawhi and PG choked hard, but Rivers left a lot to be desired with his coaching moves. For example, continuing to play Harrell big minutes even though Zubac was by far more effective against Jokic.

Thought he'd head to New Orleans, but he wanted out of that brutal western conference, the Philly roster isn't going anywhere anytime soon.Doc is a good guy but he's not winning anything.
Philly needs shooting...really felt they short sighted when they traded for tobias and gave up shamet...also big issue is that zhaire smith has had big health issues in 2 seasons....philly needs shooting more bench pieces, kinda of stuck salary cap wise with tobias embiid simmons and horford...nba you are hired to be fired...anything less than getting out of east is a fail

Raw deal? The organization signed two gigantic free agents. What more could they do for him?

And he was a big reason those 2 guys went to the Clips...and those 2 free agents choked, Paul George was a non-factor, you can't coach your way around players having awful performances.

The bubble really affected George apparently, he was having a hard time dealing with that situation.

Lakers would have bent them over anyways so nuggets did doc and his losers a favor.

I'm not saying Doc doesn't get some of the blame, but it's more on the players.

Zubac played more minutes per game in that series than Harrell, from an advance stats perspective Harrell was more effective on defense and offense.

In game 7 your 2 stars shot a combined 26% from the floor (10/38)...no coach in the history of basketball is overcoming that performance....
