I was averaging 10k steps prior to the lockdown. Have been averaging about 6k steps during the lockdown. This is just basic work activity and routine steps, not physical exercise. Meetings have increased significantly. Tuesday I wore gym shorts and a t shirt all day. Never left the house. Was in meetings at least half the day.

~Stephen A. Smith should be fired. Pathetic. Is this what we hear now whenever a white person is hired? Total BS.

~New jobs report should essentially tell Biden to GTFO and find a new gig. If you build it, they will come...and The Donald is building it back...AGAIN.

~Andy trying to tell people to limit gatherings to 10 people this weekend...BAHAHAHAHA!!! That guy needs to GTFO as well. His act is done. We will be doing that.

~Any rankings where the original Rocky isn't first can be considered worthless.

~Football on TV last night was a definite warm and fuzzy.

~Lagunitas, Old Fo, and Baileys for the weekend.

~Tiz the Law, Honor A.P., Max Player, Money Moves ($2 ex bx and pulling for the upset)
$10 show Sole Volante

God speed to all...stay safe.

I'm in the best shape of my life and I might get 5k a day. Might. More like 3500 on a day I don't lift.

Learn office jobs.

Know them well, as a recovering attorney and now private banker.

Granted, from the minute we all wake up until work and then after work until bedtime, I don't think the lass and I are able to sit still for more than a few minutes at a time chasing CF and CE around. So, on further thought, my perspective likely is admittedly skewed.

kiddos change the game.

As does being a boomer who can't open microsoft word without help. one of my partners gets about 15k a day because he's constantly pacing, but he has to pace into my office to ask for computer help about once a day.

For you lawyers, federal judge out of Louisville absolutely blistered the KBA apparatus last week shewwee. He's a McConnell protege, so of course he had to rant about bureaucracy for a bit, but there is some damning stuff in there.

That’s awesome to read until you get to the part where the federal court admits (correctly) “welp, this sucks but I can’t do anything about it”.

That sucks Willy.

If I could give you some advice- you seem to have some artistic qualities and, frankly, some real talent in digital artwork. Your photoshops bring us joy here in GYERO and you should take pride in that. If work is getting you down have you ever thought about quitting and pursuing the arts as a career? Like they always say: do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life!

UK beats Auburn If :

Win - We do not have 3 or 4 dumb holding / personal foul calls that kill drives or put us too far behind the chains.

Place - We win the turnover battle (pretty obvious but so true)

Show - Establish the run to control clock / wear Auburn down

Was going to go with "scores more points" but that is obvs.

Drew Franklin thinks we have it in the bag because it is a 11AM game and the students will be too drunk to attend.

Former partner of mine had to sign a Kentucky Agreement with regard to alcohol and went through similar bull as Jane Doe. He's now a decade plus sober, but the fact that KYLAP essentially punishes attorneys who are up front and honest about their history of addiction and/or mental health diagnoses while purporting to be a safe space is absolutely garbage.

And the judge was sadly right about there being no real relief.

Well looks like all of the grandstanding and bitching about not being able to perform MOKH at the Derby went all for not. It will be allowed. Whew, glad nobody got bent out of shape and jumped the gun.

- Trying like hell to "get up" for this Derby, but it just seems too fake. It will be like a weird dream to see it without fans in . . . September. Oddly, I've had weird dreams ( CALL BACK!! ) about the Derby before. No one is there. The horses are flying around the track like NASCAR. There's a spinout and crash that results in the tragic loss of half the field. Anyhow, those dreams will seem more real than what's going to take place Saturday.

- I can tell a lot about a person just on the way they pronounce, "often." If you're throwing that hard "T" in there, I can't take anything else you say seriously.

- Because of the age of my kids, I've had to watch various episodes of "Raven's Home" on Teen Disney. She may be the biggest over-actor in history. Hope she wins her Emmy for best actress in a daytime pre-teen comedy. She's earned it. Sheesh.

- I'm finally toward the back-end of Season 2 for "Breaking Bad." I can tell this is where it began hitting its stride, I suppose. I know Cranston gets the deserved credit for portraying Walter White, but Aaron Paul's portrayal of Pinkman is intriguing and complex.

- Kroger Private Selection - Spicy Beer Mustard. You're welcome.

- Here's hoping someone's opinion will save the world this weekend! And if not, at least shame the hell out of the doubters. We need a hero!

CD would have been better off releasing a statement saying, "Fukc it, we're playing it."

"Careful consideration." Eat ****.

Related, how does one get to be an expert? I too would like to get paid thousands of dollars for niche knowledge.
I got paid to be an expert today and it was pretty great. Some marketing company was looking for experts in my field to discuss potential implementation use cases for future technologies. They are essentially fishing for the “adjacent possible” markets for their existing tech. (Everything I said was as fluffy and BS-filled as the preceding sentences.)

If I didn’t pass muster in the first 10 minutes, they had the right to end the call - so I felt like Ben Affleck in the Good Will Hunting “retainer” scene at first.

But I passed that hurdle and just laid out my thoughts and opinions for an hour as I answered their very general questions. It was so great and now I’m hoping this puts me in their Rolodex for future paid BS-ing. Wish me luck!

My firm just reinstated the 15% withhold on draws due to COVID...

Happy to report that brought my depression level down to a 12 out of 10 [smoke]
