Don’t know what’s going on. Someone on ignore must be acting horrible.

Things have been pretty good for me since daycares opened up in June, but if schools close again this fall, I’m f***ed. Two kids in elementary, one in Preschool. Really hoping and praying. I can’t do that **** again that we did in March and April. I’ll lose my goddamned mind.

Got some centercut porkchops cooked in between the rain tonight. Little post oak smoke. Fire roasted jalapeños. Good summer meal.

Despite my constant pessimism and anxiety, I try to find silver linings. The first I always remind myself is that my kids are healthy and awesome, and the second is, my wife is hot. Going to make her a Manhattan and try to bang her. Later.

Growing up in affluent Bergen County NJ, I went to school with mobster kids from the different families.

They were different.
Met a few wannabe wise guys when I lived in Hoboken. I was with the mayors kids usually so nobody questioned my credentials. One is now a city councilman. Gotta be worth millions I imagine.

[laughing] You and @shockdaddy19 may know each other. Kinchley’s was phenomenal...

I thought he was the only Bergen to Wildcat Friend transplant....

Unlike most NJ kids, I started my Wildcatdom at age 7, because my brother (10 years older) went to UK.

I attended ‘82 UK/UNC [Jordan] game as an 11yo. in Meadowlands. They killed us.

Great pizza is easy to find in these parts. Elite pie, you still have to big game hunt - but at least the beast exists up here. Kinchleys IIRC is bar pie in Ramsey. For bar pie, Mountain House in Sparkill is my jam.

Not bad. Not elite.

Best pie in these parts is Razza Pizza Artigianale or Pepe’s in Yonkers. 20 minute ride is little sacrifice.

If anyone is planning on pissing their vote away on that Libertarian woman, here’s another option

https://www.powers2020.com/meet-powers

My intentions are more pure than any past president for the family - and the homeles do not have a family or they would not be homeless and this is very upsetting to me.

My main admission of weakness is that I do need a nap most days - because I am so intense when awake - from the minute I wake up. BUT - I have recetly discovered that drinking a full bottle of grapefruit juice not cocktail - keep my blood pressure up high enough to no need a nap unless I am out side in 99 degree weather working on my farm in North Florida - trying to distract myself from the disappointment of this third election cycle to date

Sturgill and Tyler getting some run on Yellowstone.

if you can’t get hype from a Rocky movie, I got nothing for you. Rocky III tonight, amazing.

Dinner tonight at Tekka, teppanyaki, was taking notes. My flaming onion is already on point.

So I just visited the grand-mothertruckin-canyon with my first born daughter and I gotta tell y’all ....that’s got to be the most under-stated THING I’ve ever seen in my freaking life

no picture is going to do it justice

no words are going to work ...

but I immediately was struck silent when Camille and I walked into view of this place - and my first full thought was “I’ll NEVER use the word awesome to describe **** like : tacos - guitars - work mates lunch ideas or government programs ....EVER again

getting a week in with this girl before she goes active duty early next year - thought me and her momma had CLEARLY laid out the rationale for following our experience and joining the Air Force ...

And then I found a US Marines pamphlet in that shameless huzzys bedroom ....

SO THIS WEEK IS CRITICAL AND IM NOT RULING OUT A MERCY ROOFIE MISSION FOR HER OWN DAMN GOOD

simply not how I want to COMMUNICATE to you fine folks and I blame the entire US Marine corps and their “best uniforms in freakin HISTORY “ angle of recruitment...

they get a fking SABER issued and ****

Speaking of tacos, I might have been the only person in Lexington sleeping on this place, but La Taquiza Taqueria on West Tiverton is pretty damn good. My wife picked up carryout on Saturday and was the only white person in the building, which tends to be a good sign. Also, absolutely NFG to Covid restrictions and what not.

* I got my *** kicked in horsey gambol on Saturday. I pretty much stuck to Gulfstream and Saratoga and only hit 2 races all day.

Still had fun with my crew at Belterra (River Downs).

* Smoked some sweet potatoes with maple cinnamon butter yesterday. Tasty.

* I liked the 7 inning double headers yesterday. Anything to keep that Big Red Machine relief corps in the pen.

* I wish I liked hockey. Can't get into it.

* The Jeff Beck Group with Rod the Bod belting out the vocals made some good music, man. Digging Little Steven's Underground Garage station this morning.

* Had a bacon, peanut butter, tomato, american cheese, mayo on wheat toast sandwich the other day for lunch. (I was out of lettuce & onion) Good stuff.

* Looks like some pleasant weather most of this week. Get out there and enjoy it, GYEROMEN.

-Sports being back is taking some adjusting, but a welcome relief, and just the distraction to get us out of this quagmire. Starting now is basically every sport, all day. This is assuming Dan doesn't get them all canceled.

-Garmin got his with ransomware last week and had to pay up, ouchie. Was really pissing me off not being able to post workouts.

-OMG the P5 is splitting from NCAA!! K. Let me know when that happens.

-That sandwich sounds awful. 1 too many ingredients.

-Little man wants to play soccer. Other than becoming a fake fan every 4 years for World Cup, I know nothing about it. Will be nice to sit back and watch during practices.

-Found a bat in our house Saturday. Covered it in a pool net, tried to scoop it up, thing went haywire screaming, finally threw it out in the front yard, and the neighbor unknowingly backed over it after it got into his driveway. WS is freak tf out. Bat is being tested by our leading UK disease specialist, all our pets are being tested, company coming to figure out how it got in. If Trump had taken half this action we'd have 1/4 of the caes/deaths.

-Terrance Clarke is getting some pretty high praise. :) Having a hard time picking b/w Boston and Clarke for my guy this year. BBdk, who are you taking so I can start hating him?

-The Rock fulfilling his Ballers prophecy and buying up the XFL. That's fantastic. He's going to make an excellent president.

1. Youth Soccer: I was in the same boat about 4 years ago. You pick it up quickly. It's as fun to watch them play as anything else.

2. The Bat: Do not under any circumstances eat the bat.

~Bats in the house are not fun and where there is one, there are others "somewhere". Definitely search the attic and look for guano.

~Eli golf course pics looked like a water park ride.

~Luke Combs is pretty much awful, but I hope he got a prenup.

If they actually teach your kid soccer and let them gain confidence thru individual drill it’s great and fun. If they just let kids huddle up and kick at each other while trying to go after the ball then it may be entertaining but it will suck!

Bizarre year.

*No formalized social events, that and the weather gave it a weird vibe.

*Friday was a complete washout with flooding like I haven't seen in years.

*Saturday our group finished but in mostly pouring rain. Just brutal conditions. I shot a 72 that was later taken off the board because they eventually had to call it. We were putting the last hole with standing water on the green but we just wanted off the course. At least it wasn't a 63 like Andy Roberts...canceling out that round sucks (for him) but they had no choice.

*Sunday was great golfing weather, my old friend snapper hook met up with me on the course (we seem to be hanging out quite a bit these days) and I penalty shotted myself to an 81. My golf game continues to be a roller coaster this summer.

*61 year old former club pro won the one day event with a 66. 2020 continues to be strange.

People must have started moving on campus this weekend because there’s a lot more people milling around today than there has been the last couple months on my lunch walks (none).

Since all students are getting tested there’s a bunch of testing sites set up already. It’s seems like just a few weeks ago a COVID test required you driving up to a site, not getting out of your car, and getting tested by a person in a hazmat suit. Now it’s some nursing students in scrubs and disposable masks in a pop up canopy.
