-15K sounds gross but good lord it sucks to be on DSL despite being in the city and less than 1/2 mile from true high speed

-Birth Year of Presidents from Reagan to Trump:

Trump: 1946
Obama: 1961
Bush: 1946
Clinton: 1946
Bush: 1924
Reagan: 1911

Biden is 1942. I was shocked that Trump and W are within three weeks of each other.

Whoever the next President is needs to be the last one born pre-1965 and preferably after 1970.

If the seller’s realtor has to disclose some silly *** harmless **** like asbestos and lead based paint, they damn sure ought to be required by law to tell you the home ain’t go no television or intranet.

This is an outrage.

New construction. It’s out in the country about 30 miles from downtown so I knew it was a distinct possibility, especially since I built so far off the road.
Actually kind of like the idea of not being constantly connected. Just got to figure out a way to watch UK.

Pretty much. Wouldn’t bother me one bit not having cable or streaming otherwise

I have Direct. No real complaints except the prices have gotten a little out of hand lately. Maybe 3-4 times a year we'll get a short outage for a thunderstorm.

Direct TV was $175, ATT DSL is $62.
They were bundled at some point and it was a little cheaper but that went away.

When I called to cancel they offered me 12 months at $110. Still said no. So it is definitely worth it to call and get a nice price if you have them

Justa, since you said it’s a private road....
Depending on which type of fiber optic cable they use 1000’ is from $250 to $900 online.
Non-metallic cable conduit is $200 for 1000’ online.
Renting an 18” trencher is $90 day from Home Depot.
If one was so inclined to spend a day to do it.

AT&T doesn’t even promote DirecTV anymore, they prefer you use their streaming service and are slowly phasing out satellite.

Where does this fiber connect once it's in the ground? Is he also installing an optical network terminal? Just wait for Starlink or try Hughes Net. Their latency issues actually improved with the launch of a new satellite.

"Just run some PVC down your driveway, dig down and attach it to the sewer line, I doubt the water company will mind."

We have a utility option that came in here last year that’s supposed to connect the entire county, even the most rural, hard to connect places, with high speed internet. It’s higher than what I pay for service with Spectrum.

i can’t imagine in this day and age living without broadband.

Not a DIY option. Spectrum isn’t just going to let me plug into their junction box with some hill jack line I install. All of the digging, etc has to have permits as well. Apparently it’s a big deal to do all that.
No water line. Well & septic. Rural living.

Different cable provider, but similar story. $6/foot is what Mediacom wanted to charge to run their coax. It would have also required repeaters, etc that I would have had to purchase myself.

If you can stumble across a hotspot with an unlimited data plan that covers your area, you might be able to still stream programming. I had one through this company for a period of time.

This is going to be hilarious to watch. Let me tell you, we've been through a 6 or 7 practices, and it's just not happening, at least with 4-6 year olds. But sure, oh so wise government officials, we'll continue this charade, just make sure to get your selfies at the Pride Parade. Yesterday, it took all 3 coaches everything we had to get the entire team from a digging for buried treasure outside of the dugout. Apparently, G marked the spot with an X so it was on after that. I'll give them props they organzied and were working 3 man shifts on this dig. But yeah, I'm sure they'll just fall in line, and obey these rules. K.

[laughing]

Game day is finally here! We hope you are excited about playing this week.

Attached are COVID-19 Guidelines as a reminder of the steps we have put in place to remain compliant with LFUCG/state guidelines. We need your help and cooperation to implement these simple steps so we can have a safe and enjoyable season.

The bleachers have been roped off at both parks as a visible reminder that the bleachers are for players and coaches only. The areas between the bleachers and dugouts have also been roped off and are for players/coaches only. The bleachers have X's on them to show 6' of spacing. Players are also welcome to sit in lawn chairs in the player-only area instead of the bleachers. The back of the dugouts are a great place for the kids to hang their bags.

You are welcome to place pop-up canopies in the player-only areas to provide shade. Dick's Sporting Good has canopies on sale for around $40 right now if you are interested in purchasing one.

Each player is responsible for having a personal bottle of hand sanitizer for frequent use during games. We have placed large jugs of sanitizer in each dugout in case a player forgets to bring their own.

If you are playing at the Lower field, please take route closer to the playground to walk to the field in order to create spacing from those playing and spectating at the Upper field.

Rode my bike thru Shillito on Thursday and South Lex had almost every dad out there with kids. Come on Eastern, bend the rules.

I was the third base coach to my son’s 5-6 year old team. League champions that year. I sent everyone home.

Currently in a strategic planning meeting bored out of my ******** mind.

Bought some new seating for the deck this weekend. Need to start taping it off to enforce social distancing for all my summer get togethers.

Son bought a shitload of fireworks and wants to bring his roommates out here to shoot them off this weekend. Touch it. Might as well.

need to drop the 20 pounds I’ve gained ASAP since starting work from home.

got sent some nice tiddie pics last night. Latina. Daddy issues. Grad student. #mywheelhouse

Are the kids also supposed to wear masks when not playing? What’s the rules for the parents and where do they sit? I’m the volunteer mom to somehow attempt to organize the chaos of getting the batters to come up when it’s their turn. My first offer when I said I would do it was to call the mayor and governor to negotiate a more reasonable solution.

The dugout is actually big enough to “socially distance” the kids and would prevent the need to buy tents for shade and whatever else they are saying.

When are the kids going to sanitize their hands? They wear gloves a good portion of the time.

11. When not actively participating in the game, players are strongly encouraged to wear face masks or face coverings as much as possible unless it presents a serious safety hazard, or the player is five (5) years of age or under.

I’m sure this is going work so well with a bunch of four and five year olds.
