I’ve spent the afternoon thinking about 2014 UConn. Anyone else remember that one
This one hurt me the most. The tournament run they had was the only time I ever emotionally fell for something feeling like destiny. It was at a time in my life where I kind of needed it, and I was really swept up by the tide of it.

I remember the next morning laying in bed just feeling totally flattened. Flattened isn't even right. It was like I was sunk down into the floor and the ceilings were a hundred feet high. One of two times in my life I felt physically affected by being down. The 2015 feeling didn't cut me as deeply because of that, I reckon.

Life is good now. Would never rewatch that.

Next up: 2010 West Virginia.

Corona lockdown with a continuing loop of UK bad beats, shew. Lets throw in 92 Duke, 95 UNC and 2003 Marquette plus all the excruciating exits in the Cal era just for funsies. Really need sprots to start back up you guys. The daily grind of corona and politics in this country has been a true joy.

Hilton Head for two weeks. Finishing up the last night before heading back to nky with some ice cold silver bullets. No frills tonight, domesto train and, I've got a ticket to ride.

Mixed responses down here, some businesses pulling their weight and, a decent amount of grocery store shoppers with masks etc. Have also seen some serious free for all behaviors on display. Including an ice cream shop with about 30+ ppl shoulder to shoulder and not a mask in sight sans my wife and I, patrons and employees alike. Kinda concerning?

Back to luuurk, kindly get pumped all.

Whenever I see TheShowKiller post, it reminds me (in name only - not substance) of this kid in college we called The Fun Killer. He sucked something horribly. Short scraggly haired kid. Always depressing. Could walk into a room with Phish blaring and a bong being passed around and everyone would still get mentally down just from his presence. Party killed instantly. He sucked.

Sorry I know that’s a ****** story but it’s a slow night, and whatever.

Had a cookout and cornhole last night. It was great minus one thing, ended up having two gals come over, one with chest beefers, the other with an *** for days. I picked the beefers and now the other won’t talk to me. Gotta make choices unfortunately.

Nah. We more than likely weren’t winning the title. 93’, 11’ and 15’ all losses that probably cost us titles with the best teams. 15’ cost is history.

The Unforgettables probably don’t have the legend they have if they beat Duke and then lose in the F4.
We played like **** in two games in ‘15 NCAAT not only against Wisky but ND (won by 2?) Cal choked, out coached...

‘92 Duke loss, we played out of our ******* minds with a lovable untalented box of rocks (and Mash) against the most hated collection of douchebags ever assembled... in crushing, improbable manner.

I stick to ‘92.

Tell us how you really feel about TheShowkiller. The old saying is "there is some truth in them there jokes" or something like that.

For the old timers, think I will post a link to the UK / Georgetown game, well the second half of it, as we sit here crying in our beer, making life miserable.

"Cookout and Cornhole" now that is definitely a nice South Florida bar name. Must of really broke the dudes heart if he is not talking to you.

How anyone thinks ‘92 was the worst is beyond me. Coming off probation, new coach, totally new style, a bunch of Ky white boys with Mash and Woods........I’ve never been so proud of a team in my life as that one, even in that moment with tears rolling.

‘97 made me despise Pitino by not playing DA, right or wrong, I played competitively and knew if I was capable I’d hate my coach for not letting me play in that game.

‘03 really pissed me off

‘14 was close to how proud I was of the ‘92 team

‘15 absolutely unhinged me in a way I can’t explain and I truly believe no one in my family(including extended) has looked at me the same since.

Ive not cared the same, or anywhere close, about UK basketball since.

I’ve said this before but the 92 and was on my tenth birthday. Birthday ended with a quickness, dad went upstairs and slammed the door not to be seen again until the next day and all the parents took my friends home while I cried behind the couch. Devastated.

The Taylor will feel and play great and sound pretty good. But for $600, personally I would spend just a little more and get something better. There are 15 Larrivees on Reverb for $1k or less. I would take any of them over the 114. It's like going from a Blues Jr to a Dr Z or Matchless.

I prefer the tone of similarly priced Martins (Road Series, GPCxxx, DCXxx) to the Taylor 114.

-just bought a larrivee d-03e for 700 on the interwebs, thanks @grantbob.
