Not sure why I bought that much pork belly. Smoked one yesterday cutting almost half for burnt ends. Having leftovers and making tacos today.
Think I'll cut the other one up and make a shitload of BE's to take to work and have for the week.
Feeling much better. Tumbler of rum and coke took off the edge. Switched to ML.

The biggest privilege display so far was the white lady who’s neighborhood was being patrolled by the national guard, was told to not come outside as the NG kept an eye out for terrorists trying to hide or burn her house down, so she went outside anyway and then was shocked to be forced back inside.

WHAT A FREAKING WEEKND RANDOS:
- First weekend out and about felt great. I work in health care and spend most days wearing a mask all the time. Felt nice.
- Underrated TV theme song: Portlandia
- There's nothing I enjoy more in comedy than a great roast. Give me Greg Geraldo all/air.
- Speaking of comedy, give me Mitch Hedberg stand-up all/air, too.
- As cheesy as it is, I'll watch Con Air anytime I see it on TV. The absolute cheese of cheese movies. Always think of UKO.
- You know what grinds my gears? Starting a load of wash on a Saturday morning and realizing at 4:42pm on a Sunday you never put them in the dryer. Mentally think they are mildewed and have to a redo.
- My goal soon is to be on the Santa Monica Pier, looking out on the Pacific.
Things I think about to relax myself:
- Sitting at the kitchen bar with my pappy (grandpa); him smiling, looking out of the window at the Ohio River. His left hand holds a Pall Mall cigarette. His right hand is holding up his head, while his thumb, index finger and middle fingers are stroking his scruffy chin. The sound of The Price is Right is in the background and the smell of a pot of white beans is on the stove. Bonus points if he turns to me and says, "Mattman, do you want some peanut butter fudge?"
Give me one more day of that, please.
- Going up the Ohio River or Cave Run Lake on a boat where the wind is hitting your face, and the sky is so blue that you lose conscious for 45 minutes straight.
- Seeing a little baby sleep and smiling. What in the world can they be thinking about at their age? Not a care in the world. The epitome of innocence.
- Bob Ross talking to me when he paints.
- Staring into a crackling fire.

I took some liquid valium with a friend, early 80's, and we put one of those 4 hour Duraflame logs in his mother's fireplace and lit it.
It seemed to last a LOT LONGER than 4 hours...

- Here’s the conundrum with the Calipari children: I’m sure they are justified in their feelings and have had to deal with a lot of crap from Billy Joe W. HOWEVA, there is no need to take such a condescending tone toward the entire Commonwealth.
We already have plenty of superior minded folks giving us lectures on our dumb, backwards ways. We don’t need to hear it from our $10 million a year basketball coach’s 20-something year old offspring.
Show up to a couple of games a year, maybe smile for the tv cameras, I recommend a pleasant wave to the crowd, and then go back to wherever is better than here. Thanks for coming, ladies. Nice vest, Brad.

I'm with Tommy on this one. No need to loot and destroy property. Seeing a ton of "suspicious" white people instigating isn't helping anything either. And cops attacking press members (Vice guy getting taken down and pepper sprayed from about 6 inches away for complying), people protesting peacefully and generally using this opportunity to show those that shout ACAB are right, aint a good look either.

Maybe the biggest problem is the definition of “press” has outgrown its original intent from a numbers standpoint. The “press” used to be the big three tv channels and a few local newspapers. Now it’s dozens of hipster lifestyle bar and restaurant bloggers acting like they’ve been embedded in Mogadishu for the last 20 years.

Mob mentality. The guy who busted open the Autozone and allegedly did the same at the Target in Minneapolis was a white dude in full gear carrying an umbrella on a clear *** day. Does it justify the looting? Absolutely not. Did it probably spur a lot of people who weren't going to be raging idiots to be raging idiots because of mob mentality/COVID frustrations/unemployment/oh yeah, that perceived racism thing? Probably.

I don’t think a white guy busting windows at an autozone is what got a semi driver pulled out of his cab and beaten half to death, or a guy defending his store have his neck crushed with a skateboard, etc.
