Rivalry most played non conferenceYay!!!...whoever does the home schedule please just stop:chairshot:
Kelly Tripucka! Some of the old dogs on here might disagree, ND vs. UK used to be a pretty strong rivalry. I remember going to a game or two with my Dad at Freedom Hall when I was little
I’m old enough to remember Austin Carr putting up 52 points on our Cats - a performance Coach Rupp called “amazing”.Kelly Tripucka!
It's a heckuva lot better game than Coppin St is it not?Yay!!!...whoever does the home schedule please just stop:chairshot:
Yep, and they were really good in the '70's. Dan Issel and Austin Carr had some classic shootouts and although UK dominated the series, the games were entertaining. We used to play Notre Dame nearly every year back in the day. Used to be a solid rivalry. Are you 12? This is a fun one to add to the schedule
1970 Mideast Regional which UK won 109-99 after being down 53-48 at the half. Issel had 44 that game and both teams really shot well from the field.I’m old enough to remember Austin Carr putting up 52 points on our Cats - a performance Coach Rupp called “amazing”.
Id love to play a team from Indiana not named Indiana.

It was, and it was a great rivalry. I remember well the games back in the 70's.hard to believe this used to be a rivalry
uk leads 42-19 i wouldn’t call it a rivalry ND fans don’t consider us a rival but happy to be playing a p5 school instead of ham sandwich state lolIt was, and it was a great rivalry. I remember well the games back in the 70's.
So glad to see ND on the schedule for 3 years.
Heck, it was only a couple of years ago that these two battled it out in a classic regional final. I forget what happened thereafter.
Plenty more to complain about. This is not it. Good home game pickup.Yay!!!...whoever does the home schedule please just stop:chairshot:
I was at that game in Quicken Loans Arena, Lebron showed up in the boxes to watch. The big KAT pulled us out of that one or we were toast Before we even got to Wiscy.Heck, it was only a couple of years ago that these two battled it out in a classic regional final. I forget what happened thereafter.
I remember the days when they were coached by Johnny Dee, who was replaced by Digger Phelps.Notre Dame is #8 in all-time wins.
#6 in football

also into the 80s and 90s IIRC....It was, and it was a great rivalry. I remember well the games back in the 70's.

I had REALLY hoped we would schedule Purdue for this exact reason. Their little meth-riddled IU heads would have exploded.Of course, IU fans are butt hurt that we won't play them and choose another team from their state instead.
