I don't understand the people who are saying "well, 'The Last Dance' settled the debate forever. Jordan is the GOAT. No question."
How did a documentary which outlined events that occurred over 20 years ago settle anything? Are there people out there who saw it and said "wow, you mean Jordan won 6 titles? And had two threepeats? And was competitive? I had no idea. He really was the best ever!"
People who already thought he was the greatest player in history had their opinions reinforced, and those who disagree just sat through a 10 hour infomercial on him and didn't learn anything new.
Confirmation bias is something else.
What they mean is the documentary introduced Jordan’s greatness to the snot-nosed millennial Twitter geeks who now apparently define basketball fandom.
Of course, the rest of us who lived during the era were already aware of all this.
Never been a question in my mind who was better between Jordan and LeBron.
