I don't understand the people who are saying "well, 'The Last Dance' settled the debate forever. Jordan is the GOAT. No question."

How did a documentary which outlined events that occurred over 20 years ago settle anything? Are there people out there who saw it and said "wow, you mean Jordan won 6 titles? And had two threepeats? And was competitive? I had no idea. He really was the best ever!"

People who already thought he was the greatest player in history had their opinions reinforced, and those who disagree just sat through a 10 hour infomercial on him and didn't learn anything new.

Confirmation bias is something else.

What they mean is the documentary introduced Jordan’s greatness to the snot-nosed millennial Twitter geeks who now apparently define basketball fandom.

Of course, the rest of us who lived during the era were already aware of all this.

Never been a question in my mind who was better between Jordan and LeBron.

Six year old me was way out front on the Rex Chapman hate. #TeamDavender

Working now under a 20% payout until the end of June. Noice.

I’ve been drinking a 12 year old Scotch I brought back from Scotland last year. Nice change of pace from the bourbon rotation.

Was never on the Jordan Bandwagon but I appreciate and recognize what he did. 98 for me was fire though.

- When my brother was 15, he went on a school sponsored trip to Cancun. Every night after "lights out," he and his buddy (also a high school sophomore) snuck out of the hotel and partied on the streets of Cancun. Catchaser has good stories to tell. I'm guessing the statute of limitations is up for those clueless chaperones?

Don’t think they were as clueless as we thought. At the end of the trip we visited a place where they made tequila and Ms. Curtis (the actual teacher) made a deal that we could try a sampling of the tequila as long as we didn’t tell our parents. And if we kept our mouths shut she wouldn’t tell them we snuck out every night. Win/win.

Also, the sneaking out in Cancun was a no-brainer. Senor Frogs for a 15 year old kid from Podunk, KY was fire.

It was the sneaking out in Mexico City that took balls (as well as the places we stopped/stayed while driving through the middle of Mexico to get from Cancun to Mexico City). Probably fortunate to have avoided disaster doing that dumb ****.

Having said all that - If no cheerleader was arrested/hurt I don’t see the big deal. But, I haven’t read the report and there may have been some rough details emerge in a 3 month long investigation.

That October-through-early March stretch of my sixth grade year when I wasn’t allowed to rock my J5s outside of a gymnasium because of my dad’s strict “basketball shoes policy” were some of the hardest, self-deprivational, most disciplined and character-building months of my life.

Not sure analytic geek opinion on Jordan, but did hear Bill Simmons talking about how they have ran the numbers for Isaiah Thomas and determined he is no Chris Paul. Putting up numbers on teams that never do anything is apparently more important than sacrificing a little and actually winning a couple titles.

In the fall of 1987, the lb123 household was introduced to satellite television. F4-09 was SportsChannel Chicago and between that station, WGN, and national broadcasts, I grew up watching dang near every Bulls game.

Also, F4-24 was the Playboy Channel.

Being a social activist on a world wide scale while beating every other top boxer in the sports golden era vs banging perkins waitresses - which sounds more interesting?

I absolutely despise Pearl Jam. My senior year of HS my vehicle was a 1988 Ford Aerostar with a non functioning tape deck so the radio was all I had. Our main radio station played “Last Kiss” every 10 minutes and I hated that song more and more with each listen. Completely soured me on that **** band.

The last dance was amazing, sad to see it end. I grew up obsessed with Jordan, my first memory of sports was watching him play, was basically my hero growing up. Reading an article about how his daughter had to google him and she’s almost 30 made me feel like the old men that obsessed about Dr J and Oscar Robertson when I was a kid. Man time just keeps ticking.

Can we get like 3 or 4 touching days in a row where the weather isn’t complete ****? It’s the middle of May come the touch on.

This whole corona thing end up being a surprising blessing in disguise, completely reworked and tooled my business that I wouldn’t have ever had time to do, go figure.

Maybe we can have attractive cheerleaders now instead of 4’8” gymnasts. Because, if we’re all being honest, no one gives a **** about the championships.

Hands down worst Pearl Jam song ever...couple others I cannot ever listen to if they pop up on satellite radio these days...

Uncle Kracker- Follow Me

That damn song off of " That thing you do" Tom Hanks movie.

"When We Were Kings" if you want an Ali doc.

Hard to replicate The Last Dance because of the war chest of unseen footage they just sat on for decades.

The only thing this documentary did for me, concerning Jordan, is humanize him.

My favorite parts were behind the scenes drinking beers, smoking cigars, flipping coins and talking trash to even regular joes.

“Hey Scott, after this you’ll never see me again, if I see you I’m whipping your ***” [laughing]

Destroying the idea of the flu game was great too, because even as a kid I knew when he was fine the next game, “the flu” was bogus.

I don’t think the Tiger doc would be all that compelling. I’m basing that off the fact that Tiger would have to green light most of it, and I’m assuming he’s not going to reveal much more than what’s already known. Besides, could you imagine what some of his mistresses might look like today? I bet they ain’t no Carmen Electras.

You might get more than what you bargain for with Tyson. I’d say he’d reveal anything or be tricked into revealing it.

Brady and Manning? Yawn. LeBron? Zzzzz.

Jordan is basically the last mega-star athlete that could do the things he did socially. I mean, he drove himself to the arena in 100k vehicles with personalized license plates. Go out to a casino the night before a Finals game? Mega gambling golf rounds with opposing players. The 90s don’t seem like that long ago until you think about that. Social media has sanitized the personality of many superstar athletes.

Took G to get his first new basketball shoes this year and he took to the "basketball shoes are only worn in the gym" rule like a champ. His mom,, didn't understand it. Girls.

Basketball shoe day was the best. As was the day you could retire them to outside play.

Wtf Sloot- want him sliding all over the court????

It’s funny just how much men from our father’s generation took care of their ****.

[eyeroll] May be time for you to wave goodbye for awhile.

You’re problem is that you’ve watched too much porn. If you think you’re going to get any salacious details about Tiger’s soirées, you’re going to be disappointed. You’ll get anti-septic Tiger and his monotone robot voice talking about the time hit a 6-iron 200 yards out of the fairway bunker at Colonial or whatever course that was.

There's only 1 other guy who could have a 10 part documentary which would be nearly, if not equally, as compelling -----> Tiger Woods.

As long as Steve Williams truly came clean about all he knows...that would make one episode by itself.
