Is the Mandalorian good for adults? I've generally avoided the franchise since The Force Awakens, but that looks like it could be good. Don't have kids so I don't want to get Disney streaming just for that unless it is really good.

It's better for adults than for kids. You almost forget that it's Star Wars-related. Feels more like a Western in many ways. It's outstanding.

Linda Cohn is not a smokeshow, but has gotten better with age. She's certainly better looking than Diana Taurasi. Get real.

TN opening back up in phases next week, including resumption of some elective surgeries. Hope it's the right move.

Howeva...I have no idea if it's the right move or not, as our cases are actually still going up a bit. But the people down here won't stand for it much longer, and they sure as hell won't be happy if we have to lock back down. Our hospitals are as empty as they have ever been, and we're setting up two small hospitals for COVID cohorting.

Sooo...guess we'll be a nice test case for much of the country. Wish us luck! :flush:

Kentucky never had a shot in Covid. Hell, for like 2 of the first 25 cases we had to have deputies setting up in front of their houses to make sure they didn't leave.

Someone should have reminded our governor of Kentucky’s health relative to the rest of the country before he started shitting on Tennessee like he did for a week

My take isn't based on what you all do moving forward but at the ridiculous notion of talking **** to a neighboring state in the first weeks of a pandemic. Especially from our Governor.

It helps that Tn loosened up regulations to get the testing in place.

Eh, making the two small hospitals that are already very empty COVID-centric facilities does make sense.

Keeps some of those people away from other sick individuals who are already in the hospital, gives us more beds for the resumption of elective cases, and lets the govt make it look like they’re doing their best to protect the public as we open up society.

And not to derail the thread, but once again, as we’ve been saying the entire time, you can’t prove a negative. We can’t look back and say shutting down was wrong. Who the hell knows what difference it made? I sure don’t. Maybe a million people would have died. Maybe only a few thousand more...no way to prove it. I’d prefer my leaders err on the side of trying to save lives, but that’s just me. And yes I know there’s a middle ground. I think most people are trying to determine where that is.

But I do know the northeast and NYC medical systems are still completely in shambles. Despite all these measures and lockdown, 55,000 people have died from something *new* in this country.

- @Bonzo Cat those shorts were sold out, good looking out though. Got notifications set up for when they’re back in stock.

- Bonobos, LL and Rhone athletic wear, Nike metcons, Nike Killshots. Not sure I’ve worn anything else but the above and scrubs for almost two months.

Went driving up north yesterday...Russian River Valley. Beautiful, beautiful area. As far as the coast goes, this is about as rural and unpopulated as it gets. The PCH was busy, but not packed. Every single parking lot and pull off was barricaded or blocked with cones. Cops all over the place. No place to even pull over and take a picture. Again, this is a really rural area. Saw a cop writing a ticket for a single car that was pulled over and parked by a house.

This **** better end soon. Judging by the news in Orange County, people are done with it. Newport Beach was packed. I honestly don’t think people care anymore.

Being packed outside is a bit different than being packed inside with this thing.

Then why do we have parks across the country barricaded? For Christ sake we had Tom Brady cited for standing alone in a park.

You do the crime, you do the time -- as my good friend drxman says. When a police officer tells you to do something, you do it. No questions asked. Don't want to get in trouble? Don't break the law.

IMO.

IMO, the metacons are trash. Won't be going back.

Try the Metcon DSX Flyknit 2 out. Much lighter, not as wide, made more for aerobic type stuff vs straight lifting. The 3s are trash, though. If I can’t find the 2s in future (on my second pair now), I may be moving on to No Bull or Reebok nanos.

*Fyi, for those that deal with temporary agencies, the agency we use is seeing about a 40% callback rate. Meaning, that's the percentage of people picking up the phone and wanting to return to work.

*Made a comment saying masks were a waste of time on our global call that was met with silence. Let it go for 5 seconds or so then transitioned into financial and incoming order forecasts. Guess they aren't on board. Had they asked, I had a reason, but, whatever. How much unemployment can I get?

*Smoked ribs yesterday. They were decent, not great. Used a new rub recipe that was not great. Going back at it on Saturday with the one that has always worked out for me.

*UV light is good for us (yes?) yet some cities actively promote staying inside. Neat.

It’s amazing to me, that nowhere in the media/news/government briefings tell people who lose their taste and smell to immediately quarantine. It is RARELY mentioned as a symptom of Covid, but now I know if 6 positive people who ALL shared this “inconvenience”.

but God only knows the countless people cruising around like Johnny Appleseed spreading the virus as they’re putting hot sauce, salt and garlic powder on their oatmeal.

My favorite gym shorts are Russell brand. Knockoff dri-fit for $10. Can't imagine shelling out the money for the training shorts that are constantly advertised on social media.

Disclaimer: I am a rube from Eastern KY.

Our golf course remains closed.

*Something that sticks out watching the Jordan doc, how he and Pippen dressed like adults when going to games or giving post game pressers.

*They really glossed over the whole coup that Phil pulled with Doug Collins.

*I always thought being chummy with an opponent was overblown. Who did you want to beat at sports, video games, etc. more than your best friend or sibling?

*I think people are growing weary of daily updates from politicians. We need updates and information, sure, but daily hour long pressers that rarely provide new information may be a little overkill.

One could argue that if there isn't an increase with these phased openings then they should have been done a month ago after the initial 2/3 week quarantine to get our **** together.

There probably will be an increase, but the goal (or at least as originally put forward in support of the lockdowns) is to avoid overwhelming the health care system. Problem is, when some (most?) people see an uptick, even slight, and even if well under the system’s capacity to handle, they will freak TF out.
