Some items I'm just going to have to accept will be Chinese until I find an adequate replacement, I'll pretend the items I bought were from the Vietnamese, Thai, or Egyptian factories. Thanks.

- Still get job notifications from LinkedIn and other sites due to my recent job search, and got one about Heaven Hill looking for a corporate attorney. Could be an interesting opportunity for any GYERO lawballs out there looking to move. Imagine the perks are nice.

- Having one of those drive by birthday parties for Hoot's 5th today. It's just amazing that this will be one of the things that's part of all this when we look back on it decades from now.

- When Mom asked what he wanted to eat for his birthday, he said cinnamon rolls, OJ, strawberries, blueberries, oranges, vanilla ice cream, Jimmy John's and Papa John's. Guy knows what he wants.

- Lass made her Bravo debut last month (or was it last year?) on Vanderpump Rules. Don't watch the show anymore, but did check out that Lexington episode. She's the one in all black kind of dancing next to Stassi's dude for a few seconds down at the pavilion, but mostly just looking around very confused.

- Been on the Rao's sauce game for years, but mostly just because I have a low key obsession with the actual restaurant and am determined to get a seat there one day. I have consumed every article about it I can find, and there're quite a few, but this is a solid one to start:

https://www.vanityfair.com/culture/2016/10/raos-new-york-exclusive-restaurant

- Rao's pop culture tidbit: former owner and current owner Frank Pellegrino, Jr.'s father, Frank Pellegrino, Sr., was FBI Chief Frank Cubitoso on The Sopranos and Johnny Dio in Goodfellas.

- Did several hours of yard work a couple of days back, mowing and putting out mulch. I know it's very non-GYERO man of me to do my own yard work, but man that was therapeutic.

- Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball on SNES was a solid entry in the "fighting sports game" genre.

- Top 5 Tom Cruise movies:
1. Cocktail
2. Top Gun
3. The Last Samurai
4. Risky Business
5. Mission: Impossible

Both of the top two have solid soundtracks (though Cocktail's is still better), but Elizabeth Shue is what really gives Cocktail the edge.

Bombas are great socks...the fact that they donate a pair for every pair sold is another plus (36M pair to homeless shelters)

-yes, hank. Gustin and flint and tinder. Old school sweats...more modern cut.

-lionel...i try to buy less stuff/higher quality and take care of it. You're never gonna beat box store prices...but you can get 1st world stuff for near/less the cost of jcrew/vv/banana republic/polo/lululemon etc.

^how much is that worth? I dunno...but until more folks start looking at spending habits as a "national security" issue its a problem.

-in the interim...India is a global ally, labor practices suck but at least they dont wanna kill/dominate us.*

*yet.

The NFL Draft sucks? What kind of blasphemy is that? I’ve always loved the draft.

Guess it may not be as interesting when you don’t have a team but I really enjoy the NBA Draft too.

I'm a huge India fan. The people are a lot like us - especially those who come over here and live for a few years. That said, their country is a **** show in terms of getting anything done, plus their infrastructure is a train wreck. And it screws up their ability to become a manufacturing power to rival China.

Also a solid list, Boat. It’s honestly kind of amazing how many great movies he’s been in when you start to name them all.

And just pass the damn transfer rule so we can get to tamperin. I want to tamper with that slapdick Stansbury so bad. I’m sure Cal would love to swipe a center from him. F that guy.
bassey would look good in blue and white holding up #9

- I buy whatever sock deal TJ Maxx has at the time. They usually have have UA, Puma, and Nike. Occasionally they’ll have Stance.

- Big plans for the weekend. 80 and Sunny all weekend. Probably will watch some Netflix and Hulu. Play board games with the kids. Probably go for a drive or two. Costco run. Bike rides into town. Might even say hi to another person if I can.

- UofL laid off or furloughed 25% of the Athletic Department staff, and reduced salaries for everyone else. Not a good thing, but a sign of the times. Going to be a rough year or two once we come back.

- Working from home wouldn’t be so awful if we had other options. The monotony of the day without a change of scenery makes it tough. I’m used to visiting job sites, which breaks the day up. Paper work and similar work is ok in doses, but day in day out? No thanks.

- 49ers crushed the 1st Round last night. 2 plug in starters for half the salaries of the guys who left. Great job. Can’t wait to watch them play in 2021.

- Underrated. Print versions of Playboy and Penthouse. Maybe it was the point in time of my life, but imo, so much more fulfilling than online crap. Could be a bad take. But I stand by it.

Listened to the latest podcast with Pilgrim/Graf/Sisk hoping to hear some optimism about possible roster additions after the Haarms whiff.

Nope.

Barring a Banchero reclass, an immediately eligible transfer (assuming the May 20 rule change) or some other surprise, our roster is set.

Hopefully stallball will be replaced by smallball, but I'll believe it when I see it.

The only other time we lost all of our main contributors was after the championship and that 2013 season turned out well. So.....

- I buy huge packs of Champion® socks from Target®. When one sock starts to wear into a hole, I donate all socks and buy all new ones. It’s the only way to live, IMO.

- We now have temperature check stations at alternate entrances at our offices and our key fobs have been shut off for all other entrances. But, I don’t expect to be back in the office until after Labor Day.

- Handyman is wrapping up odd jobs at the old house this week. Here’s hoping it goes quick.

- The first renovation project at the new house is the living room and I plan on ripping off Mark Foster Gage’s aesthetic as much as possible. Should be fun.

Welp, the Keys are officially shut down till June. Should get very interesting for some people. I’m good with it though, it’s been really nice having no one here but locals. Only thing I’m worried about now is Hurricane season coming up.

That's a lot of minutes for freshmen ranked outside the top 25 and mid-major non-starters who didn't average double figure points. Could it work out? Maybe, but everything would have to break right. None of the freshmen could under-achieve, Clarke and Boston both have to be dependable, consistent stars, the transfers have to be the top end of what we expect of them. No margin for error. And even then it looks like an elite eight potential roster.

Really need to make one splash. A big transfer, Banchero surprising everyone and reclassifying. Something like that.

At this point just add Kuminga and roll the ball out!

Rollercoaster weather pattern is messing fishing up. Catching crappie when bass fishing and vice versa. Animals haven’t been seeing people so now they just walk right up to ya. Kinda weird having critters following you around instead of just running off.

It would actually be cool to see liberals injected w/ disinfectant in the manner that they think Trump meant, vs. what he actually was meaning. Your TDS is not healthy, big guy.

I'll vote for Trump again, but he has a problem with acknowledging he doesn't know something. He'll act is if does and say the dumbest ****.

It's ok if a businessman doesn't know science. It's ok to not understand amd let those that do speak.

I mean, Fauci isn't going to speak on how to properly build a 50 story building in downtown Manhattan.
