I have zero information however it does seem like the longer we go without a decision the less Likely he is coming here. We are the highest profile school on his list and Nick/EJ have declared so he knows what his role will be here. From everything I’ve read about the kid he seems like a fantastic young man but somewhat keeps to himself and stays out of the limelight, that doesn’t sound like a kid that necessarily wants the attention that comes along with out program. It actually wouldn’t shock me if he had a change of heart and went back to Purdue.

What information have you gathered to make you think it's not looking good?

Do you actually know something or are you just a pessimistic person that looks for ways not to be disappointed?
Has to be one or the other, huh? 9 question marks lol. You people are crazy.

Good catch. I would say they would have the potential to be better for sure. All of Boston, Clarke and Kuminga would be top 5 guys coming in. I don’t think we’ve ever landed three top 5 guys in a single class. Bledsoe was a 4 star that outperformed his initial ranking here.

****, you’re right. I forgot about him being a 4 star.

Slightly off topic but sometimes I think we (even myself) forget how good Bledsoe was because we had John Freakin Wall. Bledsoe was SO fast and athletic. Seeing Bledsoe and Wall on a fast break was a thing of beauty.

The one that sticks out to me was at MSG against UConn (that was very early in the season - maybe November). IIRC Bledsoe and Wall were on the break and Bledsoe lobbed it up to Wall. I remember Wall’s head was up around the rim. He grabbed it with two hands and slammed the **** out of it!

I knew right then that Kentucky Basketball was back in full effect. Our backcourt was just so superior to UConn’s - and they were no slouch. I believe their backcourt was Dyson and Kemba Walker. I remember one of my best friends calling me immediately after that play. He said, “we’re back!!!!”

Man, if only Jodie came back that year. That would’ve made us unbeatable IMO. I couldn’t even imagine putting a senior Meeks, with his scoring prowess, in with that group. My goodness, it wouldn’t have even been fair!

40-0. That’s all we lacked was a legit 3 point shooter which Meeks obviously was.

Smash, you are like a machine with information. Where do you get all this info?
I imagine you having twenty Computer screens in front of you and a big gulp half filled with Elijah CrAig 12 in it just working away all day long.

We will see. Based on HS rankings they would be.

Kuminga would be top 3 in the ‘20 class. Clarke is top 5. Boston is top 10.

No one had Bledsoe in the top 20, IIRC. One service had him ranked 50-ish.

Bledsoe our performed his rankings, for sure.

I'm pretty sure at least one of the services (Rivals, I think) had Bledsoe just outside 5-Star Range, like somewhere between 26-29 range. I used to check the rankings like every other day during those early Cal years.

How do the two classes compare? Some classes are stacked, some are fairly strong. Some are weak.

Rivals had Bledsoe a 5 star and ranked 3 at his position and 23 overall.

Yeah, now that you mention that, I thought Rivals had him at the tail end of the 5-Stars, but was being conservative with my recollection.

A quick look at RSCI (RSCIhoops.com) and I see that Bledsoe’s final composite ranking was 52. Prep Stars had him at 69 and some didn’t rank him at all. Three had him in the 30’s. Rivals had him highest at 23.

This is a good point.

Except it's presuming something that guy can't possibly know. He has no clue if Haarms is enjoying this or not, but that doesn't stop him from announcing that as if it's fact.

I've grown weary of blowhards on twitter pretending to know more than they do.

Gonzaga has several big guys. They also have a 5 star recruit at center that redshirted last year.

Maybe that's what he wants, a team with another center so he's not playing 30 minutes planted in the paint with little option of shooting the 3. Just a thought.
