I come in peace I promise, but thought I'd give you a breakdown of what KU is looking at next year. KU at this point has lost Dok, Dotson, and Moss. Dok and Dotson are obviously going to be impossible to replace, but we have some people who can step into Moss's role on the roster currently.

Everyone else should be returning. Ochai was projected late first round early in the season, but didn't do anything to justify that during the season, so he will back. If he can be the player everyone expected him to be this year, then I really like this teams chances next year. We are also returning Garrett (NDPOY) and a lot of guys who were considered role players this last year. We have some nice pieces coming in Bryce Thompson and #1 Juco player, and some 3-4 year projects. KU will probably be playing 9-10 deep to start the year next year to figure out what works best, but overall I see this team being a 2-3 seed in the tournament by end of year.

Also you guys will be fine. Cal always figures it out. He has an A, B, and C plan already ready to go if something doesn't work. Look forward to playing you guys in November!

What people are forgetting here, is that while Kansas returns more players (some of whom Kentucky fans wouldn't even want), they have ONE impact recruit coming in. We have anywhere from 3 to 6 coming on board.

Juzang and Whitney transferred, I know they still are gone but that's not the norm.
That is part of the problem. That's what frustrates a lot of the fans. We have two guys coming back off the entire roster. No one else does that.

They have Bryce Thompson coming in as well as Tyon Grant-Foster from juco. But they did redshirt a couple four-star recruits from last season in Wilson and Harris and had two others on the bench in Enaruna and Braun.

Returning McCormack and De Sousa along with Garrett too leads me to think they will be pretty solid next year.

Thompson is the one impact recruit they have. And if we're considering a 20th ranked guy as an impact recruit, then by definition Kentucky has 2 game-changers in Clarke and BJ.

We lost more, but we gained more, which is normally the case when you compare the two schools.

All true what you said, but before you write off KU for next year, keep in mind the starting lineup will most likely consist of a senior (Garrett), two juniors (McCormack and Agbaji), a sophomore (Braun) and a freshman (Thompson). There is something to be said about experience in college hoops these days). KU had to be one of the "older" top 15 teams this year and it worked out pretty well. KU isn't recruiting at the levels of a UK or Duke, so it seems like Self is going after 3-4 star players more often and developing them fairly well over the course of 3-4 years.

If campuses remain shut down throughout the summer but the season still begins as scheduled it may take Kentucky a little more time to get up and going while Kansas with more returning may jell quicker.

It's not so much that I'm writing off KU next year. It's more to say, they have similar issues as we do. There's question marks surrounding their team.

Florida saw a lot of talent leave last year, and a decent class that came in. Everyone thought they would be top5, and they simply weren't. Now, I trust Self and KU's situation more than Florida's, but it's never easy losing talent like Dok and Dotson, your 6th man, and not having much to fill the positions.

Self also loses guys who aren’t ready. Malik Newman, Dedric Lawson and now Dotson just to name recent examples. Also lost Quintin Grimes to a transfer.
Dotson is ready...How is Ochai Agbaji staying..He's a star in the making..

Also Brooks at UNC..He's very good and would already be gone if at UK

Fair enough; lots of unknowns at this point

I think Agbaji leaves. They will be a lot better if he is back.

I say that by the end of the year they look like this:

G Braun
G Agbaji
G Thompson
G Garrett
F McCormack
6 De Sousa- top inside reserve.
7 Enaruna- top wing reserve.

Move De Sousa into the starting five if Agbaji leaves.
