Montgomery, Richards and IQ continue to slide down the mocks with each passing day. More and more guys are declaring. Garza threw his hat in the ring yesterday.

Eventually they are going to fall completely off the board.

I just wouldn't rule out all 3 returning. I think it's already a bad decision to leave right now given where they are in the mocks.

Have been saying for a while so don't be surprised if we get these 3 back and i am sticking to that until they say they are leaving.

Juzang couldn't guard a piece of bacon.

... which is why I was curious why he decided to play for a coach that demands defense even more so than Calipari in Mick Cronin. I can't say that I like Cronin, but his teams are typically known for hard-nosed defense.

Honestly, aside from UK, there are other programs that I like and Gonzaga is one of them. Yeah, they haven't won a championship or been to multiple Final Four appearances, but they have been a very solid and steady program for a few decades now and you never hear about Few attempting to purchase recruits. They seem to do a decent job of developing their players.

I would much rather see a surprise return of Richards, but if that doesn’t happen I would love to have a Haarms. He is definitely not a Richards replacement in kind, but you can’t teach 7’3” with some coordination and skill.

This ^^

This is flat out incorrect. He wanted Teague back. Hell he wanted Juzang back after he said he wanted to transfer. He won't get in the way of them leaving... but he'll let them know that UK is the better choice at this point based on what he hears from NBA guys.
If you believe he wants Juzang back....Cal isn't going to trash the kid

Huh? Gonzaga has gone to ONE final four since it’s been playing basketball.

I think that’s fair. And I’ve hated on Gonzaga a lot. But they’ve been solid in the post season recently and because of their easy path to a 1 seed they’re in a good position every year. But on paper they have the best team next year. At least as of now. Still some stuff to play out with rosters.

As far as Kentucky, I’ll just never be enamored with a teams chances that loses 90% of their production. Even the 2014 team that relied mostly on freshman still got Alex Poythress and WCS back. And on paper that team was more talented. 5 of the top 10 from one recruiting class. 6 in the top 20.

And with the strong possibility of no summer conditioning and workouts we will have even less time for our young team to gel and be ready for March.

That said I hope I’m wrong and these guys end up just fitting like a glove from day 1. But I won’t be disappointed with this particular team in the end if they don’t have a banner year.

Arizona? Did he not even investigate how bad a coach Miller is with big men? Will be a shame for our players if we sit around for two months waiting on a couple of our players wondering what they should do and losing out on every true big available. Assume they are all going every year and if you end up with 15 players and 8 three and four star players and two or three five stars coming in then if one or two want to come back at the last minute they can. But we are recruiting for their positions even if it is a couple of three stars. Some of those guys will turn out and at least we aren't left year after year with not enough to practice with and being short of big bodies and shooters.

Lol. Gonzaga has one final four in the entire history of their program. The most overrated program in the last 15 years. You aren't very smart about basketball huh.
The Zags Won at least 30 games the last 4 years, the Cats haven't. Went to at least the sweet 16 5 years in a row, the Cats haven't. The Zags have been to the final 4 since the Cats have. The Zags have been to the Championship game since the Cats have. The Zags have been to the NCAA tournament 20 years in a row the Cats haven't. The Zags have won at least 1 game in the tournament 11 straight years, the Cats haven't. The Zags have had the best team in the country 3 of the last 4 years. Most of the Cats championships were before I was even alive, and I am an old man. The Zags or any small school will never be allowed to win the ncaa championship, because more money can be made by one of the big boys winning, and the ncaa is all about making money, not who has the best team. Arrogance such as yourself is why most other fan bases hate the Cats. By the way I am also a cat fan and have probably watched or listened to 100 Cat games for every 1 that you have.

This is a good point. UCLA has some buzz again after a really impressive first year under Cronin ... but JJ won’t see much run at all there unless he really develops on the defensive end.

That bolded statement wiped out your entire argument and actually awarded the victory to your opponent. Obviously Haarms should come HERE if he wants to win, based on YOUR argument.

I love the way trolls cherry pick stats, ain't it easy? And for every Pro Gonzaga stat, I can make 100 times that in Pro UK stats. Shut up.

I buy this. I’d say the “#9 is a lock!” takes because of adding a guy leaving Purdue because he lost his starting job are a tad optimistic ... but you absolutely take him if you can.

Quality depth at a minimum.

When I think of Gonzago the first thing in my mind is how weak a schedule they play, year after year after year. Second thing I think of they always win a lot of games because of that and get a very high seed in the tournament because of it.

Few does a good job of sticking the course in scheduling. Playing one or two big names preseason and keeping it at that knowing his conference is a walk over. If I were him I would do the same thing because getting the highest seed is what it is all about. But, the respect for that program does take a hit not having to play near the schedule so many others play.

I respect Few and Gonzaga is a fine program. The argument you present makes 0 sense. If Kentucky's teams who are competing in the SEC played in the same conference Gonzaga did, and the Zags played in SEC, you want to take a bet how the results would be? Gifted a 1/2 seed because you play majority of your tough games in Nov/December means little and often hurts Gonzaga come NCAA's because they haven't developed as much as they need to win in March.

As a HS Coach, we play a brutal non conference schedule because we know our conference won't help us in the postseason. A team who is in our Section takes a different approach, loads up on easy games, and is always a 1/2 loss team entering Sections, yet we beat them each year. Why? I'd say the level of competition has prepared us--and we schedule them from Jan/Feb so we don't get caught peaking in December. Despite this being a different level the premise is same.

If you want to be positive about Gonzaga's program, no problem here. They are very high level. If you want to compare with UK in Calipari era, that's got to include reality and fact.

UK and Gonzaga are the only places that make sense

i don’t think Gonzaga makes sense at all tbh. They’re loaded in the front court. Kentucky stands out by far as the best fit on that list. Everyone seems confident he’s ours.

Cals not going to shut the door on a kid for transferring over playing time and home sickness. Whitney quit on the team mid season, packed up and left. And he wouldn’t shut the door on him either.

They’d have to do something really bad for Cal to tell them they can’t come back.

Seriously, why would any fifth year transfer from a Power-5 program have a 10-school list?

Ah. Didn't know their roster situation.

Just figured he's at a solid Big 10 school--transferring makes me think you want the powerhouse. Gonzaga aint UK, but they've become an annual top 10 team.

But if Gonzaga is stacked in the front court, I don't see how he goes anywhere but UK. Zona's shine is off the diamond. Miller's a proven cheater and surely he's not going to risk going there.

I've found most of your previous posts to be fairly non-crazy. Then you go and **** this turd. I'm not quite sure what to make of you. The swipes you take at the history and tradition of UK proves you are no UK fan. It's ok that you're a Gonzaga fan. But don't try to sell us this nonsense.

Why are you even a UK fan? That’s a very sad outlook on our team. If I went into the season believing there was no way we could win the title I’d have a very hard time even following the team.

He is kinda of douche like sometimes but I’ve gone into a season thinking we won’t win a title and I’m a huge fan of UK and Cal. I knew the Noel team wasn’t gonna win a title and I thought the same for the Murray team as well as the Knox team. That doesn’t mean I still didn’t cheer them on and watch ever game but I mean...we just didn’t have it those years. Now every other year since Cal arrived I’ve believed we could win a title.

I'm glad to see us in it but i don't think we will get him. Unless Joe Declares we don't have a spot. We picked up Vance Jackson and Tate from NKU yesterday. That's two grad transfers and no more spots currently.

Would love seeing Gonzaga playing in one of the better conferences for 3 or 4 years. Would definitely bring them back down to earth. There is a reason Few is careful about playing any more than a couple of top programs preseason. Play half of your non conference against top programs, knowing you will not be challenged during the regular season, and see how many L's you take.

What UK center did we (as fans) want shooting multiple 3 pointers?
Cousins
Orton
Harrelson
Davis
Noel
WCS
Dakari
Towns
Lee
Skal
Bam
Richards

Whats your point
His point is that even though we may remember several of them shooting decently now, and wanted to see several of them shooting the 3 more while they were here, only Josh shot over 30% for his career (31%). And even Josh shot only 20% for his senior year, when he was really being used.

Do you have a source that's telling you this? Honest question. Cause you're gonna get killed on here, if he picks anyone besides Gonzaga.
I will still be alive whether he picks Gonzaga or not. I see people get killed on here all the time for telling the truth. The arrogance of some people on here just makes them look stupid. Anyone with a different opinion with this crowd and they start yelling troll troll over and over which like I said makes them look stupid to the rest of the world.
