DO you think Davis, Wall, Cousins, Towns, etc should have stayed 4 years?

most fans get why they (you’re list) go.

I’m personally just ready for a “baseball rule” in place. If we miss out on those players (you listed), I’m ok with it because no other school will have them either

I've already explained this to you in a different thread. The guys from WSU transferred, they aren't going to the draft.

Are you unable to see the difference between a transfer and an early draft entry?

Apparently not.
Are you unable to realize they will no longer be at Wichita State, like Juzang at UK. Whether a team loses players to the NBA draft or they transfer they are no longer at that school. You are so dense that might be hard for you to understand.

Yes. And that is going to happen more and more with the liberal transfer rules. If they don't go pro they will pull a Johnny Jusang. This is not a UK problem but a college basketball problem.
No, you have no idea what you're talking about. 6 guys transferring to play for another college program is not the same thing as 4+ young guys leaving UK every year, most for the GL.

It most certainly isn’t a college basketball problem, it's a UK problem. Duke is the only other program that operates like this, but they don't lose G-Leagur level talent like UK does. They've been losing legit first round talent.

First of all, there is no "s" in Juzang and second of all, you can't compare a 1 time issue at Wichita State to what happens at UK every year. Something happened at WSU that caused 6 guys to leave the program. If it happened every year, you would have a point.

I feel so sorry for you. You will never be happy. The only solution for you would be for Cal to quit recruiting the best players he can get. Your head is so hard it must be made of rock.

omg, I don’t think there’s any comparison. I would take Epps everyday over Hagans. Balls of Steele, fearless, hit clutch shots, solid defender.

watched the 97 title game again last night for the first time in forever. I’ve watched 96 and 98 multiple times but usually (for obvious reasons) bypass 97. Epps was so good. True floor general

The point of my post was about the kids that go to the NBA before they're ready.

We have the problem you're talking point, and the transfer issue happens all across NBA. But we lose more not ready kids than anyone else.

Hagans was a dumbass team cancer who quit on this team...glad he quit his basketball career by leaving lol because he'll never play his first minute in the NBA
exactly why other fan bases paint BBN in a negative image you should be ashamed of yourself Hagans came here stayed two years played through injuries and played 35+ minutes a game and you have the audacity to say “glad he quit his basketball career”?

Haven’t read through this entire thread, don’t really need to. We’ve got probably 5-8 posters who will say AH is doing what’s best for AH. Ok. We’ve got about 3 or possibly 4(depending upon time of the month) saying he is absolutely doing the right thing ( according to Cal). We’ve got over half the board saying he is making a huge mistake, and should come back to hopefully improve his stock. Then there’s me and a few more saying he needs to get a college degree and join the higher end work force, they say it’s not that bad. Kinda a pickem? No.

How many returning players did Duke have this year?

I wish we had Barnes from UT. Wait, he’s never accomplished anything.

Roy Williams is great, we should’ve had him. How’s he doing the last couple of years?

Where’s Pitino?

Remember when Kevin Ollie was the next great coach? Where’s he?

Pearl is a great motivator. Didn’t he just finally crack the final four for the first time?

How are the Miller brothers doing?

Bill self is great! Besides the pay for play scandal and current investigation.

The Cards gave a great new coach. You know, the coach who isn’t even ranked in the top 25 next year?

Some of you don’t know how good we have it.

Wish him well and hope his body holds up playing professionally. I can't say I'm heartbroken he isn't staying but I wish nothing but the best for him in the future.

Like a lot of you this doesn't surprise me, nor does it bother me; he just wasn't that great of a player, IMHO.

That said, I wish the young man the best and hope he is able to someday to live out his dream of playing in the NBA......I just don't think he's got the talent to make it but I'll still root for him to improve in the G league, which is where he'll most likely be, to make the jump.

Well said. Even in the year we lost Gilgeous-Alexander, Diallo, Knox, Gabriel, Killeya-Jones, and Vanderbilt, most of them went on the NBA. Last year, we lost Herro, Johnson, and Washington, which are all in the NBA.

Duke is losing Carey, Stanley, and Jones to the NBA, while O'Connell is transferring. That is very similar to us losing Hagans, Maxey, and Richards, with Juzang transferring. If Quickley and Montgomery also leave, that would be more substantial, but I feel like we have a much better recruiting class coming in, even with Tape rejoining their squad.

Honestly, both teams are on very similar trajectories. I do like Henry Coleman for them. He is a little different than what we've been getting out of our frontcourt recruits. Hopefully, we will reel in a similar style grad transfer.

Weren't you and some others here blasting Juzang for leaving? I had never seen attacks like that on a UK player in my life. Can't have it both ways, dude.

Good bye, good luck. Now on to another new class and the same old thing next year.
Good. And you will be on here complaining as usual. That is one thing that will never change. Even if Cal wins it all next year there will be something for you to complain about.

Timeframing makes a difference. If you look at just the last 4 years, Duke didn’t start going the one and done route until 2016, it looks much different. Most of the guys they lost went first round.

However, you're list of Duke players has some major issues for this discussion:

You listed Kyle Singler, Demarcus Nelson and Amile Jefferson, they left Duke after 4 years, they exhausted their eligibility, then tried their hand at the draft. I'm not sure why they are on your list, Duke didn’t "lose them to the GL"

Bolden left after his Junior year and let's be honest, he was terrible and had reached his ceiling. I think we can all agree on that.

Had to do some research on Czyz, he shouldn't be on your list either, he played 2 seasons for Duke (08-10), then he transferred to Nevada, where he played 2 more years, so he also exhausted his eligibility. Duke lost him to transfer, not the GL.

I'm not sure why Alex Murphy is on your list, he played at Duke for 2 years, transferred to Florida for 2 years, then played a 5th year at Northeastern. He also exhausted his college eligibility.

I guess maybe you didn't realize this, but we were talking about freshmen and Sophomores that left early for the GL. You got all the UK players correct, but most of the Duke guys you listed played 4 years in college before entering the draft.

Thanks, you helped me prove my point.
