Breaking: It has come to my attention that in a previous post, I incorrectly stated that the 10 million dollar man can't be bothered to fill out a roster, beat Tom Crean for a recruit, or deal with a few needy parents from time to time.

What I should have said was "The 8.6 million dollar man can't be bothered to fill out a roster, beat Tom Crean for a recruit, or deal with a few needy parents from time to time."

I regret the error.

Got a call from my mom last night at 10pm, and keep in mind she has pulmonary hypertension.

First words out of her mouth were “I can’t breathe”.

So I basically went into shock mode grabbing my wife’s phone and calling 911 while my wife talked to her. She starts begging not to send them and that she swore she get tested next day(today).

Ambulance came and took her to the ER where they ran a few test but not for corona virus, and then they released her at 2am.

Test came back today for pneumonia, and it is taking everything I got to accept this and not think something bad is coming.

Cheers you ********, let them loved ones know as much as possible right now.

Stay F’ing Safe!!!!!!!!!

Just tell them she was out of the country, or she was nearby someone who tested positive, and maybe she has body aches or something. I’d say whatever I had to to get her tested.

In Ky, only the patient is allowed in the hospitals/ER right now which makes it hard to push these medical folks.

I was told they are still just so limited on test. The issue is her health puts her in the group of “they could die so we are better served saving that test for someone else” which they would never admit to however any logical thinking human knows/understands.

Tell them she was in the same room as an NBA player or a Congressman. She’ll get tested in 5 seconds.

Maybe I’m a complete dick, but I’m saying whatever I have to say if I believe my family is in life threatening danger.

Private labs are doing the drive thru in KY already and at her age she should be able to push for a test. I mean we've done almost 15,000 in the state already.

UofL could be running a drive-thru location as soon as Monday. Drive-thru locations already have begun to pop up in Indiana. One is in Floyd County. But just like in Indiana, and all over the country, resources remain limited, much of which are being funneled toward states considered COVID 19 hotspots like New York. That’s why only people who fall under the CDC’s criteria will be tested: If you’re over 60, have chronic medical conditions or need hospitalization.

We talking about deep in Bullitt County? Try this...,

“Nurse, my mother is truly in danger. She visited the Big City last weekend, living a life of sin and surrounding herself with filth and disease and unwashed souls. Upon returning we begged her to visit the church to be healed by Gods Word, an anointed handkerchief, and room full of prayer, but she refused, so we have nowhere else to go. Perhaps the COVID test will expel Satan from her heart and lead her back to the Lord. I beg you in Jesus’ name. It’s our very last hope.”

Wife’s partner in quarantine for having direct contact with the *visitor* of a patient who came in for an appointment, after having been tested, but didn’t self-quarantine and didn’t disclose that they’d been symptomatic til the test came back positive. Their practice is down from 4 docs to 3 for the next ?week while the excruciatingly long testing period plays out. Many tests are taking 7-10 days for results. Wife tested a patient 11 days ago and it still haven’t resulted. Keep that in mind as these numbers come out... the tests were performed a long time ago... so long it makes no clinical difference at all, it’s just for tracking purposes.

Know two docs in ICUs right now.

Buddy in Milwaukee said they ran out of ICU beds today.

Don’t be a selfish ******* please.

Krazy, best wishes for your mother. I’m actually surprised she didn’t get one based on what you said. Keep close tabs on her and if her condition worsens don’t hesitate to take her back. If you need treatment, you need treatment, whether COVID is diagnosed or not.

My brother has now treated 6 patients himself with it. He’s 44 and one of the most in shape people I’ve ever known in my life. No health issues whatsoever, works out like a maniac, etc Anyway he’s seriously considering faking a fever so he can leave under quarantine for two weeks, he’s freaking out about getting it, apparently it’s pretty damn nasty. Just feel like we never got the full story on this ****.

But then you have decidedly UNhealthy people like Tommy who never even had a damn symptom, so who the hell knows.

Baptist Health rules...

  • One parent or guardian for a patient under the age of 18
  • One birthing partner for a woman in labor
  • One person at a time for a hospice or end-of-life patient
  • One clergy member for an end-of-life patient
  • One caretaker for a completely dependent patient

Lmao, what a piece of ****.

Your stalking is getting old.

And forgive me for caring about something that is vitally important to our community. Our grandstanding pos governor should at least recognize it. He also doesn't need to be speaking to kids. Not his job.

So if you have a problem then do tell..you have my number. I've been nothing nice and respectful to you and your better half so if this makes you feel like a big man then have at it. Btw...hope you both are safe.

Do better. It's not becoming of you.

I’m not sure what your point is here buddy, but I can tell you what I was told at 11pm last night and I was told to leave, and at 2am when I went back once she was released.

Are you calling me a liar or just posting something that HAS nothing to do with my situation last night at all.

I mean, pretty easy to have the stance that you're both worried about the healthy returning to work and a stable economy while understanding this is something entirely different than a normal flu season but not the end of the world. Pretty clear middle ground that allows for hoping we get through this with as little life lost and can get the economy back on track in short order.

It's not a ruse, bud.

Come on, dude. You brag that you have some sense - why not act like it for a change.

1. I've been in small groups that Andy Beshear spoke to, long before he ran for Governor. I didn't like him then. I voted against him as AG, and voted against him in Governor's race.

2. THAT SAID, I have done a 180. I think he's been doing a fantastic job, and am proud that he's our Governor.

Ignorance borne of inflexible opinion; a predisposed bias; and the lack of ability to think freely and re-evaluate knows no bounds.

If you're going to pose as a faux-intellectual, go revel in your B.A. or whatever ****** pedestrian degree you attained by the skin of your teeth, and leave the serious discussions to those who achieved a bit (or a lot) more than that.

*Sprinkles*.

Folks may not care and most of these points are well-established here, but I need to lay them down anyway. Been watching a ****-ton of old ballgames and a hodgepodge of thoughts:

- It works occasionally but great basketball is not necessarily found in the biggest menagerie of talent. Many times great teams are built around a singular elite talent whose mere presence elevates everyone else (UMass ‘96, UK ‘92 and ‘93, Arkansas ‘94 and ‘95, Syracuse’03, etc).

Mashburn just made everyone on the floor better. His IQ, spacing, passing and the attention he drew was amazing.

- 2015 obviously wasn’t playing their best ball in March. Likely needed a late season loss to recharge them. Can’t blame anyone for daring to be great. Only one elite NCAA effort- a WV team who foolishly pressed us.

Cal’s biggest mistake was never leaning on the Harrisons. It was playing too big and too deep. Rotation should have been 1-3 in any order (Andrew, Aaron, Ulis, Booker) and 4-5 (WCS, Towns, Lyles). We were damn near good enough to do it anyway but that was a huge mistake. ND and Wisconsin killed us at the wing position.

- 1996 and 2012 were perfect college basketball teams on both sides of the court. Could beat you in any manner.

- I don’t know who the hell Employee #8 was in Boston but he wasn’t the Antoine Walker who played at UK. That guy was great because of his handle and vision for his size, and his excellent boardsmanship.

- Really would have loved to see Wenyen as a junior. Disappointing.

- Biggest misfits in Cal’s era for his system were Wiltjer and Briscoe. Wiltjer is at least a nice piece, but Briscoe never fit. Not his fault just don’t understand Cal’s scouting there. Dude should have been a Seton Hall or St. Johns kid.

- I may be crazy but I’m not so sure that the ‘97 team at full strength isn’t the second or third best team we’ve had since ‘78. Of course, ‘84, ‘93, ‘12 and ‘15 might have a say.

- Cal with a solid effort at sweeping the best college basketball team I’ve ever watched with a Puerto Rican backcourt doesn’t get enough attention from his critics.

- Most clutch Wildcats of My Lifetime (no particular order):

Aaron Harrison
Padgett
Epps
Sheppard
Sparks
Knight
Lamb

- Watching Fox and Monk was an absolute joy.

The 15 team was never quite as good once we lost Poythress especially with the otherworldly defense we had with him. He would have been big defensively on the Wisconsin wings instead having Booker and Lyles get torched. I will go to my grave believing we win that game if the shot clock violation was called correctly. Eff Higgins and his ******** crew. What happened with him and BJW after 17 was years in the making.

Nobody going to call out WCC on the 94-95 Hogs having a singular talent that elevates everyone else? Awful take.
