-One of the more surprising developments to emerge from this crisis is that my elderly dad somehow figured out how to join a Zoom call last night. That's a 16-seed-over-a-1-seed level of upset right there.
-I miss the UKIT. Bring it back. You already do it, essentially, by playing scrub teams a few weeks earlier in the Keightley Classic or whatever it's called now. So just move it around. Two consecutive nights, the weekend before Christmas. The Wildcat in a Santa hat. Even let the other two scrubs play a consolation game. I don't know, man, I'm just nostalgic for stuff right now.
-The first national title game I clearly remember watching live was the 1983 Houston-NCSU game. Watched it back last night. The spacing and passing was immaculate. Very few ball screens. Had forgotten how much of a monster Thurl Bailey was in the first half. Even with the spacing/passing, the offenses were so patient, and the shooting so average, that the scoring was at a premium. Houston was just filled with jumping jacks at every position, flat owning the glass in the 2nd half.
But the most noticeable difference was how good it was to have actual coaches with personality on the sidelines. Valvano being Valvano, and that old curmudgeon Guy Lewis hauling that towel everywhere as he barked at the refs. Miss having memorable coaches on the sidelines instead of the mostly corporate-looking stiffs we have now.

I'll ***** about Corporate Tax cuts if it means them groveling at our feet every time something remotely bad happens then turns around and juices their stock with some bastardized inverse version of socialism that eventually results in the deficits we see today. The only difference is that this is only a problem when the President is a dem. Remember the backlash over the stimulus package of 827 Billion just over a decade ago? We're just making **** up now.
Also, while tax revenue is higher than ever, it's also made up of more income and payroll taxes by in large. So, we're about to bail out a bunch of industries that Fly corporate flags in other countries to further avoid taxation and have multiple states that have eviscerated their budgets (NC did this with Chiquita a few years back) through corporate tax cuts just to have the company walk as soon as they were up. If corporations truly are people, they can fail too sometimes.

IIRC, Amazon, Netflix, Eli Lily, Deer & Co., and many other massive corporations paid $0 in corporate tax in 2018.
Boeing chief executive David Calhoun on Tuesday suggested that the aircraft manufacturer would not accept federal aid as part of a pending economic rescue bill if it meant giving the Treasury Department a stake in the company.
Calhoun said in an interview with Fox Business Network that it’s “not ideal” for Boeing to surrender equity to the federal government and “if they force it, we just look at all the other options, and we’ve got plenty of them.”
I was under the impression that bailouts should go to those that need them.
