Serious question

Honestly, I have 3 deer and half a beef in the freezer, work as in IT developer from home, in the middle of nowhere KY and have a decent safety net. The only issue is if electricity goes out, I'll have to find some curing salt and hang my meat in my mother's smoke house. So I'm 0% worried. What I am worried about are those losing their jobs and the economy. Is it worth 50% of people losing their job and destroying people's lives to save, up to, 5% of the population? What you will see, in my opinion, is mass disobedience by society, due to government control.

My hypothesis is a lot more people have this than is being tested. Their symptoms just don't require them to seek medical help. So the succombed percentage numbers you're seeing are those out of the individuals that seek medical help.

No doubt, the individuals that are in bad health will overwhelm our medical system but I honestly feel that's going to happen anyway.

After two straight day of finding no meat at Kroger, I finally scored some this morning. Bought 2 packs of chicken breasts and a pork loin. I’ve spent the last week getting stocked up in case girlfriend, her son and I all get quarantined for 14 days. I feel pretty confident we can make it now.

Going forward we’ll keep eating takeout and supporting our favorite local restaurants.

Im all about take out but what if the cook is sick or the person that hands you the bag of food? I sanatize my hands constantly but am leery of that cook.

I and family all good. I even bought TP at King Soopers (Kroger in CO) today. 4 rolls.

I must say that I am envious......I was born in the heart of town.....but I am country at heart......my foster folks were farm folks..........I had a chance at a farm in North Carolina we turned it down........I have kicked myself in the *** every day of my life since that time..........I could be self sufficient if I had that place......
wouldn't have to worry about telling me to stay up in my holler......

I'm not on a farm, but in farm country. Just blessed with a decent amount of land. But always have a garden. The wife for years has been saying we need to make it bigger, do canning, etc. 'won't be able to buy groceries someday' I imagine in another month or so she'll have the whip and tiller out for me to make it much larger this year.

Wish it was a farm. Funny how you change as you get older. When I was younger...wanted city life, suburbs, modern/new house. Now, give me a farm in the country and I'm a happy camper. Now....a restored 1857 house and I love it.
