Rant:

I've never been more confident in my hatred of Donald Trump. I've always thought he was a con artist, a scum bag, a cheat and a liar. There was nothing amusing to me about him bullying Rosie O'Donnell, or creating a show built around humiliating people when you fire them. But, he was really just a sideshow act that could easily be ignored or tuned out.

Then, the man becomes President and the Leader Of The Free World. Having to see and hear his antics every day only made me dislike him even more. The last 3 weeks, however, has put me over the top. Damn near every single word out of his mouth has been completely wrong. Calling it a democratic hoax. Beautiful test kits. Anyone that wants one can get one. The number is 15 and it's about to go to zero. It will magically go away when it warms up. He is a total embarassment. I don't blame him at all for where this is heading, I just hate him. How anyone can support him in any capacity is totally beyond me. The man is a fraud, a moron, and completely incapable of leadership at any level. What a disgrace.

You guys know we don't have to do this every single day, right? Like we could just talk about literally anything else. And this is coming from someone who agrees with every word, but I just hate the way this one person somehow gets us to focus on him every single day of our lives.

Raise your hand if someone in this thread has changed your mind about Donald Trump.

You have 5 more years of him...watching your head explode will be beautiful, magical, yuge. But you will be reaping the benefits, just like myself. TFP and sprinkles.

My yard is gonna look pretty nice by the time this thing eases up. Eyeballing cleaning out some closets, attic, etc... I assume i'll be actively searching for things to do in a few days.

Since China lies about everything, Its safe to assume this has been going on longer than we are being led to believe... I think a number of us had complained about some type of death virus early in the year.

Derby may be dunzo, but you can bet there will be people cruising Central, parking lot parties at those shotgun houses, the smell of grills going all the way down Taylor Blvd...

I was supposed to play at St. Andrews today, but instead, I am cutting the yard and chainsawing random things out back.

Seems Beshear is getting positive feedback on a national level for his response... good on him and the state.

- Beshear is doing a really good job, just hope it's enough. Next logical step seems to be closing all non-essential state government offices.

- This is not an explicit defense of Trump, but rather a reality check to anyone stupid enough to think a specific person would automatically be better: 1) There is an entire continent called Europe wherein every nation is essentially run by Hillary Clinton to some degree; both in persona and worldview. Haven't checked to see how it's going over there recently, probably great. 2) The only 2 alternatives currently being presented to the US want to lift travel restrictions from China and have "don't be racist against Chinese people" as one of key points on their coronavirus response plans.

Again, not saying Trump is great or that no one can do better. Just pointing out that maybe, just maybe, this thing is a little harder to get a hold of than just sliding in a new President

Which is why I won’t blame Trump for this. It’s WAY bigger than any one person. But his press conference Saturday was a perfect example. He stands there babbling on for 5-10 minutes about absolute nonsense, throwing in a couple non funny zingers about the stock market, and continued to make a fool of himself.

After that, every single person who spoke was intelligent, thoughtful, and prepared. A complete contrast. A different president wouldn’t solve this, but it would cease to be a complete embarrassment.

Pitino says he's spoken to Cal, would love to play Kentucky, might set something up if we'd do it...

Would he play Louisville?

"No... How quick was that?"

I can't stress enough how much I'm gonna love watching him turn the screws and take little shots at them now that he's back on the scene. Hope Iona makes a little noise just so they keep microphones in his face and he can say things like "Iona Player X is the best defensive guard I've ever coached." and "This run to the sweet sixteen was the most memorable and enjoyable tournament run I've ever had." and we can watch their heads explode like ours used to.

F***. It is going to be summer GYERO for months here without even golf and baseball to provide some mild distraction.

Anyone else got any hot political and/or epidemiology takes?

Schools like Kentucky only play schools like Iona as a gift. They reach out to their old buddies, former players and friends to play their team for a huge payday.

Since Pitino can GGP, playing Iona ain’t happening.

Been some speculation that the NBA playoffs could start in June, end in August.

In the unlikely event it plays out this way, it'd be pretty sweet to have two months of playoff basketball leading right into the start of football season.

Already starting down here, things like the theater(movie ones and music ones) and artisan markets have closed now. I’m done for the rest of this month. Probably have the best tan a ginger can get before too long.

So according to WorldMeter website these are the death rates. Plugged them into a spreadsheet as I haven't seen it in a similar format yet. Germans, predictably, are on it. That rate isn't much different than the flu. I only did countries w/1000 cases.

Folks, it’s simply time to BUY Pitino stock IMO. A HOF national title winning coach with an axe to grind with the NCAA, Adidas and his last stop, our arch-rival, exiled to a small catholic school in his hometown, New York City.

This is going to be awesome. I'm pulling for him. Go Gaels.
