I would rather have a champion determine by a playoff but that is not happening and no champion is not an option. The only option we have is vote on a champion. Besides, there is no rule against it.
There doesn’t have to be a champion. There’s not going to be one in boys and girls high school basketball or men’s and women’s college bb along with many other sports by the time this is over.
2020 will likely be a year many of us will want to forget for more important reasons than sports sadly!

People are dieing and businesses will be closing but you want a college basketball champion? Really!

You know, this could still happen even without fans or players.

Why don’t we just have the refs get together and pick a winner?

Isn’t that what they were gonna do anyway?
No. Clear your minds. No Staypuft marshmallow man, no champ.

Just take it on yourself and go ahead and declare a champion.
That’s how i won Old_Red’s prediction contest.

Until 1939 the basketball champ was decided by the polls. Football was until just recently. Since the whole season was pretty much completed there is a good body of evidence to choose a champion. Kansas is currently ranked #1 in several polls.. Kansas should be the 2020 Champs

You know, if there's one occupation I don't feel bad for not having a job right now.. it's college basketball officials.

Speaking of which.. might be time to pay a visit to Higgin's Roofing business on facebook.

This is the most sensible take. I agree.
Considering the best team rarely wins though does it really make sense? Tournament truly is the only way. Should just be left blank in the history books. Or put KU name but asterisk that they *finished number 1 in regular season*. But to call them a National Champion is just baseless

You can’t throw bylaws out the window and make it up as you go along. Sorry Kansas. Btw Gonzaga is number 1 in the ncaa created metric if they chose anyone it would be gonzaga but by laws prevent this crap from happening.

Yes. determening a champion will not make matters worse. It will give us a talking point as we sit ildly waiting things out. Plus the best teams rarely win tournaments. A vote would decide a more legit champion.
. Sorry my friend, but it just isn’t happening this year! Also, anytime we have voting, we stand a chance of someone cheating or favoritism by a group against another! We all know it Kentucky Fans against the world!! Literally!!!! We’re all sad about the outcome and would love to be watching March Madness, it just wasn’t possible with all that’s happened. (By the way, There wasn’t a Champion in 2013 either, hehe,)!! This year will always be the what if year for everyone in the country who had a pretty good team, but If one team can claim it, every team in the top fifty could do the same an we just can’t have Fifty Champions.

Things we’ll get better my brother, and God Willing, in a few months we can think of these days as a bad dream and start to move on with life. I understand what you’re trying to say but there just isn’t anyway to crown a Champion and be fair about it without playing the games. I will say that next year is sure looking like a final four team who can win the tournament!! Number nine will just have to wait until next year. Lol. Go Cats!

Put the 64 in a hat, draw out 32,repeat the process till you get to one.Televise the draw, show clips of each team drawn,Vegas can take bets on the winner. Problem solved.
