If you could have 1 game that you could change the outcome of what would it be? Doesn't have to be a UK game. I mean any game at all, game you played in, high school that you went to in the finals of the state. Anything. Mine would be 1986 basketball regional semi finals. Probably would have lost to the regional winners anyway but would have liked to have found out.

1994 sectional finals. That shot goes down, and it's me banging the head cheerleader instead of being the one watching through the windows of the back of the station wagon.....

Personally, Regional finals in high school. Lost in OT. Would have went to state and got to play in Rupp.

UK wise, mine is the '66 title game. Rupp's Runts were so beloved and greatly overachieved. Plus if UK wins that game, this nonsense of UK and Rupp being racist never is an issue promoted by Frank Deford. Plus gives Rupp 5 titles and UK 9 currently.

Arizona 97. Wisconsin was rough but it only would put us in the final. Kind of a bird in the hand thing.

Only correct answer is 1997. 3 peat.

Agreed...it has to be a title game and since the question is posed to me, I would need to be alive so it is either '97 or '14.

I am leaning '97 because I think Cal would have been gone if we won in '14.

Hell, who knows, maybe Pitino wouldn't have left if we won in '97 too...you really don't know.

He would have then had 2 titles which would have equaled K at the time (edit). It could have stoked his ego and led him to staying.

Mind Blown

Wisconsin sounds like a good answer but you know good and well they wouldn't let us win against Duke in the title game. It would be a huge story with Coach K being the one to stop 40-0 from happening.

I would choose a title game loss to guarantee us a championship. Of those I probably would take 2014. That team deserved to win it with that murderer's row they were given to only end up getting screwed playing a cheating program like UConn with garbage calls by the refs.

1966 game against Duke
The 1992 game against Duke
The Butler / Duke game in the finals. If Gordon Haywards shot had gone in it would easily eclipse the Lattener shot for most famous moment ever.

I’ll go non-UK since all the best answers are taken.

Vikings/Saints 2009 NFC title game

Favre was my favorite QB and my dad has been a huge Vikings fan since the 60’s. Always hoped he’d get to see them win a super bowl... or at least play in one that wasn’t 30+ years ago.

Also I’d like to add either a win over UGA to lock up a SEC East title 2 years ago or any Kentucky football game that we blew that would have prevented Florida or Tennessee from getting 26+ in a row on us.
