Went to lunch with a friend today. Mid 50s. French. Just got back from Chile. On the tail end of a flu battle. MFer walks in wearing a surgical mask. Precaution or not, I’d rather have him do without. Secondary embarrassment, FTL.

Nothing like being at Gattitown when they announce coronavirus is in your city. Been nice knowing you guys.

* Lol! I have been looking forward to going to my daughter’s house in NKY during the SEC tournament, to help her with my grandsons (age 4 & 2) while my son-in-law is in Las Vegas for a bachelor party.
They are in pre-school and daycare. I am 65 (which, I believe makes me the oldest person here,) so while I have not been exactly worried about Corona Virus, I am old enough to not want to take the chance, but that could be a crap shoot at this point.

I know this much, this “Gigi” would brave a whole host of viruses if it means being able to spend 4 days with the lights of my life. Currently consuming as many immunity boosting products as possible, but no amount of hand washing can keep a two year old’s virus at bay if he has one!

Porch lights appreciated!

* The current Jeopardy champion looks like a serial killer.

* I have exactly zero expectations for this basketball team. They are just too inconsistent. I don’t expect them to get out of the first weekend of the tournament, and if they do, then for me, every game after that will be a gift.

* On a different note, I have high expectations for our FB Wildcats, especially after listening to the first episode of this season’s KSR football podcast. I have waited such a very very long time for us to get to this level!

* Go Cats!!!!

SXSW cancelled. Curious how bad it’ll need to get before they start considering cancelling the Derby, or run it with no crowd.

Stanford cancelled classes for 2 weeks. And some students are questioning if that is enough!!!

Kids are not supposed to high five, fist bump, and no post game celebrations during sporting events. But it’s ok to play the games, pass and throw the ball, tackle people, etc. And please sit arms length distance from people in crowds.

This country is soft. And wayyyy over-reactionary. If this was an Outbreak type Zombie virus then tell us to stay home. But it’s not, so why put fear in people???

KSR guys hinting at the possibility Hagans may not play or may not even come back. Nothing concrete but saying things like "we'll know a lot when the game starts." and asking hypotheticals like "What do our chances look like going forward if we don't have him?" Even dropped the old "scuttlebutt."

Lexington/UK-flavored social media meme....

“If you __________________ , you’re immune to the Coronavirus.”

- lived in Haggin Hall
- drank $0.25 Wednesday night drafts at Millenium
- ate at K-Lair
- partied at The Attic (when it opened after the bars closed and only served orange juice and glow sticks)
