How about they are not an "intelligent team" because they are not. Especially at PGI agreed completely with you until your last statement. I'm not sure "smart" is the right word.

Imagine being Duke which has lost those games to bad teams.Yet when people see that we are 26th in one system or 21st in another, people freak out and wonder why that's the case.
Yep. The writing has been on the wall. We've won a ton of close games against competition that if we are being honest, isn't very good overall.
What I meant was, they DO NOT play smart basketball after getting a lead, they always find a way to piss away a 10 point lead.I agreed completely with you until your last statement. I'm not sure "smart" is the right word.
And how tall is Auburn's team, and they out rebounded us? Rebounding is effort and position. Not sure about the season stats but anytime you start 3 guards who are 6'3" tall you will have rebounding proglems
A lot of that was effort which surprises me. This team has been fighters most of the year. I’m hoping they just let go of the ropes. It wasn't just Hagans.
Anytime you let a team have an effective FG% of 60% AND on top of that allow them to rebound 40% of their misses, you aren't winning.
Hagans is not pathetic. Yes, he has been playing bad, he had a lot of company against UT. There have been stretches this year when he looked like the best pg in the country, we need that version of Ashton and I hope our fans get behind him and give him their supportThe 3 reasons we lost. Hagans is pathetic. We got shoved all over underneath and rolled over when they punched us. This team can go to the FF or lose in the first round
Takes me back to 2014 when Andrew would pout and sulk because he made mistakes, I got so tired of seeing that it made me not like him, and that lasted till he left. Some posters don’t want to hear it, but there’s zero doubt Hagans was pouting in the UT game. I hope he’s over it.
Only if he changes his attitude and starts doing what is best for the team, if he fails to do that, I hope he leaves town on the first thing smoking. I have no time for pouting and sulking.Hagans is not pathetic. Yes, he has been playing bad, he had a lot of company against UT. On the first thing smoking lol. Have faith in Cal I feel like AH will go balls to the wall against UF I hope everyone joins me in that sentimentOnly if he changes his attitude and starts doing what is best for the team, if he fails to do that, I hope he leaves town on the first thing smoking. Everyone hopes that happens. I hope every player does in every game.On the first thing smoking lol. Have faith in Cal I feel like AH will go balls to the wall against UF I hope everyone joins me in that sentiment
Figured that comment would get a response, always good to have a little humor. On the first thing smoking lol.
Herro was great at rebounding long rebounds. Monk should have been with his athletic ability but he was very subpar. It makes sense that a three point guard lineup has trouble rebounding. At least till you do a deeper dive.
Nick and co do a pretty good job rebounding down low. It's all the long rebounds where we get killed. That's something a three guard lineup should be GREAT at handling. But we aren't.
Juzang is really the only one who will stick is nose in a fight for a loose ball/long rebound. Quickley has some good fight but just not the build. Maxey and especially hagans should be eating these opportunities up. But neither seem to have any interest in it.
We don’t understand how important it is to follow the game plan. I think that is a lack of basketball smarts!I agreed completely with you until your last statement. I'm not sure "smart" is the right word.
Has anyone noticed that when we put up a shot, especially an outside one, our guys, especially the guards, turn and start running up the court. Drives me crazy; then when a long rebound happens, there's only opponents around to rebound. No wonder we're poor at offensive rebounds. It makes sense that a three point guard lineup has trouble rebounding. At least till you do a deeper dive.

Is that a coaching thing? "Get back on defense fast".
And another thing we rarely do, is the shooter doesn't follow his shot. He shot it, he has the best idea where it might carom off to. Again, are they coached to do that?
:cool2:“First thing smoking”- bet you first heard that at Stover’s lol.
