They'll finally get it through their heads that a 15 point lead needs to go to 25 and that they aren't able to just flip a switch and win down the stretch. I think our best ball of the season is in front of us now.

Enjoy the ride, laugh at the loons.

No it won't. It cost us a 2 seed. Go google ncaa tournament champions and seed. If you look at the last 20 years its overwhelmingly 1 and 2 seeds with some 3 seeds every few years (the one outlier being 7 seed UConn). Seeding absolutely matters. March madness isn't the crapshoot everyone makes it out to be.

Blah Blah Blah. When will you get out from under your covers after the loss? In time for Saturday's game?

It’s obvious you LACK of knowledge is EXTREME. This is a HUGE team loss that significantly affects our seeding and raises serious questions about whether this team has some inside issues coming to a head. Don’t worry though, stick around....we’ll teach you and you’ll learn..

The only thing to be learned is that negative people love something to get PO'd about. You got it. Have fun letting it all out.

Only you would say we would have won if Cal had them shoot 30 threes. Only you. Wierd stuff. Enjoy your time in the sun. You have the numbers on your side (negative a-holes), so you'll get big and bold since you have the support cast.

Pay dividends.

It was a brutal loss but a win Saturday and all is (mostly) right with the world. My fear is a loss Saturday spirals into an early SECT loss. Can’t go into the NCAAs on a 3 game losing streak.

Only major team that hasn’t had this same thing happen to them is Kansas. People are way over blowing this loss last night. Cats will be fine

Except your obviously not reading the web site nor did you watch the meltdown that happened last night in the 2nd half. Hagans is the glue here and he lost his gorilla.....stickum’. He’s become a pouty cry baby sulking on the bench, yelling at his coaches and teammates. This is worse than you think.,

What exactly was brutal about it in the grand scheme of things? Nothing I can come up with.

It is amazing how coach Self is able to avoid similar letdowns with everyone trying to knock off Kansas. Feeling thanful.

They have given up a bunch of double digit leads this season. They do not know how to hold a lead and keep it stretched out. This one game wont solve that and it killed our seeding in the process.. :(

Not happening. The reason I say this isn't doubting you but it's what Calipari said at beginning of season. I can't be the only fan who remembers him saying "We're not a team who is going to blow you out" and he said it a few times. Reason is the drop off when he has to go to the bench and fact his guards are going to be asked to play so many mins-the lulls happen.

Every team has an identity and for this one, it's "bump and grind" basketball. Now for a tournament, it's not bad to have a team who is used to playing in the type of margins you get in NCAA play--the games often are in that 8 pt window and when a team cuts it to 2/3, you have several games you can fall back where you bumped it back up to 8/hold them off.

You threw your milk in the floor, not me.

What are you talking about? I rarely post on the basketball board, if ever, and you're dismissing me as an everyday whiner. Care to discus my original point (that seeding absolutely matters in the tournament), or do you just want to toss out more ad hominem ********?

The time for moral victories has come and gone -- losing to effing Evansville should've paid dividends as you say. It's March. We were well on our way to a 2 seed and blew it. Possible locker room turmoil notwithstanding.

Call me a negative Nancy if you want, but I'll keep operating over here in reality, and you can keep grasping at blind optimism and circle-jerk, moral victories. It makes you feel better...I get it.

No Pal, unlike you I have sense enough to see UK sports and all sports for what it is - entertainment. I was born into UK sports, so any success we have, I didn't earn, hence I enjoy the wins and go on to other things when we lose. You ? We lose and you scramble for stats to be pessimistic about. How utterly pathetic. I would advise that you grow up or at least find someone to hug it out with. Since you only get motivated to post when you see a negative opening, nobody over the age of 7 can take you seriously.
