I'm going with UK, KU, Fl St, Zags

All these teams have good guards, at least one good big man that can post, and very good coaching.

I've watched Gonzaga 5-6 times this year, and they are going to need the river to part their way to make it that far. Not close to the best team they've had. I think they're S16 at best.

With that said, I'm liking our chances. My picks:

UK
UL (yes, I know)
KU
FSU

Backup to everyone but us:

Dayton
Creighton
Seton Hall

Like I said with my post above anything can happen in the tournament and there was at least a high seed below a 4 that has advanced to the Final 4 the past 9 years minus 2012.... I see this year as no different at least 1 below seed 4 will make it to the Final 4!

2019- 5 seed Auburn
2018 -11 seed Loyola-Chicago
2017- 7 seed South Carolina
2016- 10 seed Syracuse
2015- 7 seed Michigan State
2014- 8 seed UK and 7 seed UConn
2013- 9 seed Wichita State
2012- really no major upsets
2011- 11 seed VCU and 8 seed Butler

Deep team, good point guard play, athletic, plays defense, has postseason experience, starting to get more efficient on offense.

Don’t they almost have 10 losses?
I get that though. Makes sense. Izzo usually (sometimes) is great in March and Winston is beast like.

UK
Duke
Kansas
Dayton

UVA could make it simply because their opponents might fall asleep in the second half :joy:

but it’s hard to pick a final four right now without the brackets being set.

Is it just me or doesn’t Kansas normally **** the bed when they’re one of the top favorites entering the tournament, with Self’s one title year being the exception. I know ole Roy had a habit of doing it.

My theory, games in the NCAA are, for the most part, officiated evenly (sans Duke, of course). KU gets a very favorable whistle in the Big 12. This is why they’re oftentimes exposed in March, and lose to the Northern Iowas and Stanfords and and VCUs and Bucknells of the world. Or like last year, when Auburn blew them out of the water.

They have a nice team, but let’s be honest. Azubuike, Dotson and Agbaji are NBA benchwarmers. They are vulnerable just like everyone else this year.

A small school such as Dayton or Gonzaga will never be allowed to win the championship. There is to much money to be made from a big name school winning it The tournament is all about money and not who is the best team.
