Baylor's defense would actually be one matchup I wouldn't want to see. That would be an absolute grinder of a game to watch.

I try not to get upset with Lunardi because he can pick the teams but not the exact brackets. That said...

I noticed that we moved down in his bracketology rankings too. Am I missing something? Aren't we on a winning streak while others are losing?

Also, that Duke bracket with SDSU as a #1 looks really weak so this is probably a decent prediction.

My thought is that any bracket in February is worth about as much as Bill Self's assurance that the detailed, specific set of charges by the NCAA of cheating and loss of institutional control are just going to vanish someday.

Joke *** Joe moves us from a 3 seed to a 4 after we lose 0 games. Makes sense.

Anyway, I think his career accuracy percentage on correctly picking brackets is like 50 so pretty terrible for your full time job.

These moves are made by Lunardi for ratings which lead to money in his pocket. It’s an utter waste of anyone’s time to follow bracketology.

and moves Villanova up after they have lost 3 of their last 7. Of course he also moved Seton Hall up after they have lost 2 of their last 4.

Nah, what’s predictable is the fact KU has been cheating for DECADES with no repercussions. It’s also predictable that their coach acts as if nothing happened. One more thing that’s predictable is that KU fans act as if nothing happened as well. Not only that, but y’all blame it ALL on Adidas. That’s what’s predictable, for Christ’s sakes. [winking]

Not a big fan of matchups with Baylor or Villanova, for different reasons. Baylor because of their defense. Nova because of Saddiq Bey, one of the better forwards in the country who would give UK fits.

If I were a KU fan, I would be worried about which mid major was going to put us out of the tournament in the first weekend, not who is in UK’s bracket.

How do we move down? I’m not saying LSU and UF are world beaters, but name another team that had two better WINS this past week. Maybe KU? Who else??

This has to be an ESPN joke or something. How do we drop from a 3 to a 4, with a "trending down" arrow, despite going 2-0 and not losing in like 3-4 weeks? I'd be curious to see how often this has happened in the history of Joe's Bracketology.. I'm guessing not often, and certainly not to a power conference team.

Lunardi trying to rationalize it on Twitter made it even worse. Saying that Creighton & Villanova have better wins. Now, Creighton is fair, but Villanova's last two wins were against teams that are 17-10 & 13-13.

One thing I don't like seeing is UK matched up with Michigan St. in all these brackets. I have seen UK matched up with them as a 3/6 and for 4/5. I that this point I would like to see Mich St get up to a 4.

Villanova should not have jumped UK, now several already had them ahead anyway but UK clearly had a better week!

It all comes down to the committee trying to make the TV network providers happy by laying out a bracket which will give them the best opportunity to make as much money as possible due to potential match ups. Gone are the good old days of trying to be fair and honest, it's all about the $$$ now.

Why would Kentucky be matched up with Michigan St. again? Kind of stupid to have 2 teams meet in the 2nd round who already played earlier in the season.

Lunardi Loves him some Bigs: Big East and Big Ten. Metrics have over-rated them from the beginning, so they rack up Q1 and Q2 wins (and losses).

Why does everybody get upset every time Joey Brackets or some other sports personality posts a Bracket?. They have nothing to do with the true NCAA selection, so stop getting your panties in a twist every time Joey moves us down a seed or change regions.

It's purely for clicks.

People asked on twitter and Joke *** Joe came back with snarky responses that did nothing to defend his reasoning. Probably because he has no actual reasoning other than more page views.

This is what I noticed about Joe Brackets. Not only did we not lose, but plenty of others DID lose.

Seton Hall as a 3 can definitely beat Duke

Another thing not mentioned is that if we advance past first two games the regional finals would be played in Houston, Texas which would be essentially a home game for Baylor as they are located in the state of Texas and a long haul for UK fans to follow the Cats. If we can get screwed you can bet we will by NCAA tourney committee. That loss to Evansville has really come back to bite UK in the ***. Just have to hope we can win out. Problem is that game at Florida to end the season looks like a very tough game and a strong probability UK will take a loss there.

KU fans post here more than any other fanbase and we don't even consider them a rival. They are a bunch of creepy weirdos.

To be fair they play in a conference that has no consistently good teams so it is probably hard to have rivals there. Some teams are good for a year or 2 and then sink back into mediocrity. They want desperately to have a Blue Blood rival like UK, Duke, UNC, etc and it just isn't there.

I never thought about that. You are right. They are stuck looking out at the CB world saying "look at us" and nobody is interested, nor are they envious.

Damn I had never realized that but you are right . They don't have a UF to our UK . A team that is always top 30 every year basically and every 2-3 years are top 5 or so which makes UF are biggest actual rival beyond UL ( as if you don't play a team every year they can't truly be a rival IMO) . Auburn is becoming that too but they need to win for another 2-3 years to make that so as most teams in the big 12 do what UT did . Have a great 2 year span and then become an NIT team again .

Honestly WVU is the most consistently good team in that league besides KU and they are a actual misplaced Big east team.

Exactly we have Louisville and at one time a good rival with IU and Florida although both of those have faded some. Duke and UNC have their rivalry but what Blue Blood rivalry does Kansas have? Nobody. As you said they may play us or Duke but neither fanbase considers them a rivalry.

It's a possibility, but a strong one? I'm not convinced of that. We play better on the road and I think it's because the hostile atmosphere motivates our players and keeps them more focused. I think the game in Gainesville is a 50/50 affair, mainly because UF has to win to have any chance of making the tournament unless they win the SECT which I hope is abolished, but I\' mot holding my breath because of $$$$.
