My take was that Dallas made out like bandits in the Doncic trade vs. Atlanta with Trae. Luka is a generational talent, and has the chance to eclipse Nowitzki as the greatest Euro player ever. Trae Young scores a lot of points on a terrible terrible basketball team and the team seems just fine with that. Dallas actually wins games and is a playoff team. Luka is averaging 28.9/9.5/8.7 this season. As a second year player. That’s just insane. All time numbers.

Up to a 3, per Joey.

We can probably afford one more loss (@ Florida) without too much damage.

You were correct. Young is a loser who will always put up numbers for ****** teams and not GAF.

Only things I’m Team Anth on are the Wildcats and hating BBdK and DocBoat.

^ And that alone makes him a great friend and one of my favorite people. Missyourface

And to think I welcomed you into my home, boat, Porsche, and hot tub...

Beware the Ides of March.

Et tu Chadwick.

-We'll see with Young, my point is he's not exactly Sam Bowie since he's already made an AS team and will score more points that Bowie in < 3 years. Kid is really good and with the right coach or veteran player he could be really good.

-KSR made a decent point. We are dwelling on what's wrong with this team. Interested to hear the :basketball:s take on why we're trending in the right direction.

I’ve always known Michael Bloomberg was rich, but $64 billion. :joy::joy:

Top 10 richest man in America. Willing to drop $1 billion on a completely failed presidential bid.

God bless America!
According to wiki his grandparents immigrated from Russia/Belarus and his Dad was bookkeeper. In one generation they went from war torn Russia to John Hopkins/Harvard, most important man on Wall St, Mayor of NYC, and 64 Billion. I know everyone on that stage got off by saying he's a bad dude for being a billionaire but I think it's f*cking awesome. Had his grandparents not left when they did, the family probably ends in the 1930's.

Took a $10 million buyout from his firm in the 80's and turned it into those billions. Not too shabby.

He is also the only realistic Dem candidate that won't destroy the markets.

Pretty stupid takes imo. Luka is my favorite player in the league and disagree with nothing said about him. Worship.

Young was drafted to a bottom 3-4 franchise - imo a little early to call him a “loser who doesn’t GAF” imo. Never heard anything of the sort from anyone who knows him - coaches, teammates, and peers. Guess Booker, Cousins, Fox, & Towns, are also losers who don’t give AF

Seems like his detractors conveniently ignore that he’s also 2nd in the NBA in assists, while playing with trash.

Kid is baller, using Luka or the Hawks as the barometer to dog him is just silly.

I did like how Bloomberg’s campaign sent a letter for three of the candidates to drop out to smooth the road for him. Lol

Why did your employees have NDA’s? I guess they didn’t like some of my jokes. :joy:

Horse faced lesbian. Seems a bit harsh.

Couldn’t really tell, did they get a box for him to stand on?

Speaking of horse faced lesbians -- Bernie's wife. Woof.

Beyond being a commie, he also can't outkick his coverage. I've got no time for a president who can't pull decent trim.

Jack Fry's is a standard stop when we are back in town. Shrimp and grits, then either pork-chop or lamb-chops.

Wilder vs. Fury this weekend should be a good watch. Its a bigger deal down here only bc Wilder is a local, but aside from his fights I barely know boxing exists anymore. Far from the must watch heyday- that sports seems to have been bounced by UFC stuff.

Two tumors and an abscess removed from our pup this week. He'll be 13 next week so I'm realistic on how much longer he will be around- but I at least want him to be comfortable and able to move around in his latter days. Made him a few strips of bacon the past couple of mornings as an apology for putting him through all that at once.

Any vet office is only allowed to call me about anything. My wife loses it at the slightest sign of bad news. Right on cue she lost it when I carried him in all stitched up and still under anesthesia. I doubt she'd get as worked up if something bad happened to me.

Charlie Strong surfacing in Tuscaloosa feels a bit odd.

"The Stranger" on Netflix is a good watch. May have already mentioned it. A messed up series of intertwining stories. 8 episodes so not too long of a commitment.

I understand the reason there has to be a debate on TV in today's sitcom world of politics but its not like most people watch wanting to hear these candidates lay out their plans and policies, hoping to decide on the best nominee. It's who can land a couple of awful zingers that some recent grad took way too long to write and wasn't really funny anyway, so their awful BASE can blow it up on twitter as the most amazing thing to happen since the GI Bill. Lets just stick with our regular scheduled programming, imo.

I do not have any further political comments at this time.

I think a legitimately good stand-up comic would have a shot in the Presidential race. I mean, it's absolutely absurd on its face, but when you boil it down to zingers and quick wit, a good stand up would crush. Get all your real info fed to you from some political think tank, and then just torch all other candidates with your stand up skills.

Chris Rock should really consider making Head of State a documentary.

Even as a card-carrying right-winger, I have my issues with Trump, but the biggest of which is the fear that he's changed the context of national politics forever. Some might see that as a good thing, and as someone who hates the current state of government, I can understand the argument. But the Republican party nominated a smart, articulate successful business leader with political experience and a history of bipartisan accomplishments, and he got waxed in 2012. Then they nominated a reality TV star in 2016, and he thumped one of the most famous political names in American history. I'm not exactly optimistic that either party will go back to a level headed, highly qualified statesman in 2024. Really looking forward to convincing myself that President Kid Rock will ultimately be better for the country than AOC in that election cycle. :boom::flushed::gun:

Best zinger of all time:

Hillary: “It’s good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in this country...”
Donald: “....yeah, because you’d be in jail.”

-trump is the result of years of "decent" politicians being called nazis/racists who want to starve the poor and push granny off of a cliff... because they dare to propose a tax cut. We reap what we sow.

-Not a :basketball: but no one else answered as to why we are trending up:

1- Defense, even though it seems easy to get by our guards we seem to never let anyone shoot better than 40%, and that’s where we excel

2- We create a lot of contact and get to the line scoring 19 pts a game on average from the FT line. That’s a ton when we average 75 pts a game.

I know FTs may seem like a weird strength, but they stop us from having long scoring droughts and provide breaks in play to stop our players from slacking on defense because they are tired because we don’t have depth.

We are extremely consistent at both of those strengths which impact our games tremendously by pressuring teams to create scoring opportunities or hit 3s, and there isn’t a team in the SEC in the top 50 teams at 3P%. The one SEC loss we have that’s kind of embarrassing is USC who hit an abnormal amount of 3s to do it.

Edit: They didn’t hit a ton of 3s, but USC got 20 more shots than us.

-Buttigeig is the Democrats best candidate, but Bloomberg is their best chance.

-Gun to my head I’d take Gonzaga

We are trending up because we are starting to develop a rotation and getting some production out of the role / bench players. IF and that is a big IF, we get all the guys playing solid at the same time, instead of 2/3 a game, look out. I am not saying all have to score 15 points a night, just give solid production, and not hurt the team whether you play 5 or 15 minutes. The hitting free throws has been there all year.

Nick - keep on keeping on, stay out of foul trouble.

EJ - give us 15-18 minutes of good defense, hustle plays, and make a few. 7/8 points 4/5 boards

Maxey - a little more consistent and hit the open 3. Do not try to be the best player on the floor.

IQ - hit the 2 pointers from 10 feet, and the 3/4 foot runners, finish thru contact..

Hagans - Cut down on the unforced errors, make the simple, easy winning play.

Nate - See EJ, plus knock down the open 3.

Brooks - Keep improving, hustle, put backs only on offense. Give us 8-10 minutes.

Juzang - simple, hit the open 3, give us 8-10 minutes of solid play.

Saw that KY HoR passed a medical marijuana bill.

What are the chances it passes in the Senate? And what are the chances someone with few connections gets to grow it?
