Tenn has been playing pretty darn good lately and they always give us hell on their floor.

Need this win to challenge AU and LSU for the conference. UT is beatable - it will come down to team defense and rebounding, in other words, effort and physicality. Calipari nailed it in his post game talk - when the bigs play through their discomfort and initiate contact, the Cats win. These guys need to be more aggressive and get in position to rebound much better in order to help each other. I hope they can use this win to gain confidence and momentum.

They've lost 3 of 4

I was wondering what he was referring to. Their new PG is pretty good though. They are much like Alabama, Arkansas, USC, and Georgia with just one sem-legitimate option in the post and a lot of guards/wings. I think Fulkerson gets another year of eligibility too. Their 7'0 freshman, Plavisc, is awful on defense.

Honestly, I expect a loss. I don't think this team has had that final growth point that we often see by late Feb. Until I see Hagans give us 40 controlled minutes, and assuming we have to fight through officiating, I'm not picking Kentucky in any road game..

Gonna be a tough one in Knoxville. We always struggle there, and they have a lot of length to throw at us. Their 6-6 shooting guard Pons averages over 5 rebounds a game. Had 14 points and 14 boards in a game recently. Not sure we've competed against a guard like that this season, will be interesting to see how we handle him and Fulkerson on the boards. Was really impressed by what we did with Perry last night. Need that same effort.

It's always tough playing at UT (Cal is just 3-6 at UT).

But, this UT team is not very good. They are rated in the 60s and 70s on KenPom and NCAA net ratings.

This is a game UK really needs to win.

a top 75 road win is considered a Quad 1. So while they "Are not Good" they are not bad either.

But we know you will claim it is the worst Tennessee team in 25 years if we struggle.

Sagarin says UK wins by 4
realtimeRPI says UT by 4

I would expect the line to be UK by 2 or 3

Yeah but UK is only 34th in Kenpom. Factoring they are at home, it's more than likely going to be close.

Kenpom is predicting 67-66 loss.

1 thing I never knew and never realized until I heard it just now on a podcast.

Players are not allowed to wear any number that has a 6,7,8 or 9 in it.

I was like wow I never noticed that and went and looked at the roster of like 5 teams and sure enough only 0-5 numbers are used.

I don't expect a pretty game. It'll be a slog. Tennessee plays some good defense and a very slow tempo. This could be a "first to 60 wins" type of game lol

Hmmm. Texas Tech, Arkansas, Georgia. Those road games ring a bell? UK plays better on the road IMO

you serious Clark?

I always wanted my football number in basketball as a kid and I was a receiver so I was 83. Pissed me off as a 7 year old. But then I saw the pros were permitted to have those numbers and it pissed me off even more.
