Not sure how you are supposed to win when the other team shoots 40 free throws and 16 more than you.

There are so many games in the SEC that we will never know how they should have played out if not for a 50 foul bonanza that causes all the best players to be on the bench for significant minutes.

How often during an NBA game do you even for a second have to think about a player being in "foul trouble"?

Hagans have his insta story up yet?

First time UK has lost 2 straight to Auburn since 1989-90.

I don’t like my team.

I am visually impaired but really hope #3 keeps playing the rest of the season like he’s involved in a game of 21… he probably needed a good 10 or 15 more shots so he could get his 30 tonight.

Sweet 16 at best... Lifetime contract atkot

Winning the SEC one time in 5 years is fvcking disgraceful for Cal.

Or as Matt Jones would tell you, "the best stretch in Kentucky history".

Ryan Harrow sends his regards

Pre-injury to Nerlens, that team was easily better than this one. Easily.

In addition to Nerlens, it had Cauley-Stein, Archie, Poythress, Wiltjer, and Mays. Not exactly Murderer's Row but still legit talent. Each one of those guys would be a top 2 or 3 player on this pack of knuckleheads.

It's amazing we win any games in our conference.

In 13 OOC games, our opponents shot 203 FTs (15 FTA/GM). In 8 SEC games, our opponents have shot 195 FTs (24 FTA/GM).

:flush:

We were up by 3 in the second half on the road against a top 25 team and we had the game won? [eyeroll]

Giving up 2,000 offensive rebounds, didn’t help.

Hagans playing his worst game since the last time we played Auburn, didn’t help.

Sestina just flat out not being able to play, didn’t help.

The refs are not solely to blame for the loss, but they continue to make some of the most WTF calls every single game. If I was a casual fan, I would honestly stop watching college basketball until they cleaned this **** up. Since I’m stuck with it, I’ll continue to ***** until I’m blue in the face. They have completely ruined the sport with their incompetence. At this point, I’m more sad about it than angry about it, because clearly the people in charge do not give a single f*ck, and are content to let the game rot.

Stop it. That team’s best win pre-Nerlens injury was against eventual 12 seed Ole Miss.

This team plays like a bunch of gashes, but we have legit wins to go along with our all time low losses

This is the third worst team Cal has had at UK, behind 2013 and 2018.

What’s concerning is that he’s had 3 of his 4 worst teams in the last 5 years.

1. 13
2. 18
3. 20
4. 16

So this will be a 5 year Final 4 drought. And we will lose probably the top 6 players off this team and essentially be starting over next year.

I guess the biggest thing for me is that it's just not fun right now. The sport isn't fun. The product? 68 free throws? We've talked about insane officiating as a storyline for a dozen straight games now? It's not a fun product. The team isn't fun. Who's fun to watch on this team? Richards is a great story and he's a great player now, but you're not tuning in to watch his game. Hagans, is what everyone is saying, a guy who suffers from Coby White Syndrome where he brings a lot to the table, but is a bonehead who is destined to get us beat in March at some point. Maxey has that Kevin Knox thing where he's awesome three times a month and then the rest of the time you forget he's on the team. Quickley might be our most fun player, and even he can't consistently create his own shot.

Cal? I think we're universally over his schtick. Not much really needs to be said.

What was fun tonight? Hell, forget about tonight. We just had a nice little win streak snapped, what do you remember most from it? Specifically? What was the best part? Cal getting tossed so we can see a little zone? Some innovation for once?

I'm not that mad we lost. I just don't feel a ton of anything for this team. I'm just tuning in because it's Kentucky and that's what I've always done.

You guys can ***** about this team all you want, but it’s impossible to overcome a top 25 team on the road when your called for every foul and are not getting the same whistle.

I’m not trying to be “blame the refs” guy, but to a degree you simply can’t overcome them sometimes.

They hit 9 more FTs than we shot. Ball game!

Hagans goes against a guard that pressures him and he gets erratic AF. Tries to overcompensate and we get what we saw tonight.
Sestina, if not hitting 3’s, is a huge liability. Unless we’re playing a team with a big that can’t drive or spreads us out he’s useless. Brooks and Juzang should be getting his minutes.
The combination of Cal’s questionable substitution patterns and 4 million fouls per game it’s getting frustrating watching the inevitable.
Having a smaller team with a 17-6 offensive rebound advantage is completely unacceptable.
