I don't wish kahlil good luck, best wishes, or any other happy garbage. F*** him.

Abandoning the team is January is pretty unforgivable, imo. If he told Cal he wanted to transfer, I'm sure Cal would politely sit him and talk about his unreal potential while looking for a good spot for him behind the scenes.

Before today, I felt bad for the guy. He didn't seem to lack hustle or have a bad attitude. He was just absolutely terrible at basketball. Oh well.

I mean I get wanting to quit at that age when things are rough. I wanted to quit things back then too but my mom would tell me to stick it out or give it more time. Looking back that is what was best for me and I am glad she did that and that I listened. In that sense it is just disappointing especially when you have a great example on the team currently in Richards.

I do not agree with the addition by subtraction. Quade leaving was better for a different reason. He was a bad influence on PJ Washington with his bad practice habits and being lazy in general. Him leaving actually helped PJ more than the rest of the team. Kahlil Whitney from all I have read, is / was a good teammate, worked hard, was team oriented, wanted to get better. He was not a bad influence or tried to bring others down. I think he just didn't think UK and all the stuff that comes with it, was for him after he got here and had a taste of it. I believe he thinks focusing on basketball 100% of the time and not having the other stuff that comes with being at a school like UK will benefit him more. I would bet he will hire a trainer, work with him exclusively and maybe even set up some workouts with scouts and try to get to the NBA next year. I do not see him transferring.

Bowden looked average his Freshman year. Did not even score a td all season. Stuck it out, worked his *** off, and had it all come together the past 2 years. Will be a millionaire very soon. Shows that a kid with talent, work ethic, and good people in his or her ear can overcome the need for instant success.

Most likely his dumbass parents are giving him bad advice rather than letting him know, he's not good. Don't blame them but probably sets their kid up for failure instead of encouraging him to work through it.

Title Twon (sp)= Walker?

I don’t understand, probably grew up different, how you could have a scholarship from a school like ND and go steal some guns in the meantime. Makes no sense. You’re so close to having the experience of a million lifetimes.

I don't think you understand how quarters work.
Explain it to me then genius.

He can start spring classes at Depaul on 3/28. Probably won't help him play next year but it might. Looks like he could fit in 36 weeks of classes in order to possibly become eligible next 1/1.

Right. So under the current transfer rules he would (possibly) be eligible to commence varsity competition upon the start of DePaul’s 2021 third quarter in late March 2021. So, assuming that DePaul of course makes the 2021 final four, then yes, this all makes perfect sense.

They have a December quarter. Looks like he could get 36 weeks in which would be two semesters.

The NCAA might grant him a waiver making this all moot.

I had a ****** day and now I’m drunk. Which is my God given right. Let me just say this:

1. Ear phones (pods? listening devices?) are a god-send sometimes. Pour me four bourbons and then put some Sturgill on. And no, honey, I can’t hear the first goddamned thing of whatever it is your wine soaked mouth is rambling on about. But, glad you have Big Little Lies on for apparent background noise.

2. How about Phil Hoskins. No one is running on us next year, sorry.

3. I’m not a basketball, but Exit The Dragon solves a lot of unforced problems, IMO. Give me Brooks and the Chinaman filling out our rotation and I think that will work.

4. I like driving. And I’m good at it. Want to race. Would love to have a performance car to play with. Out of necessity (million kids) we have SUV’s for daily drivers. Not in a position to buy a Dr Boat car for the weekend. But what about buying like a five year old Maxima or 6-banger Accord just to keep around for driving pleasure? Not unreasonable or ostentatious, and amazing driving dynamics when compared to my 10-year-old 4 Runner. Is that fair or am I missing something?

5. Do normal gay dudes get pissed at all the weirdos in the gay parades walking around in purple polka dot g-strings and such? I’m guessing they do. Being a mainstream gay dude is probably a pretty tough niche to fit in.

6. If you are still reading this, you should probably go f**k yourself.

Take it up with Depaul. It's on their calendar.

OK, I looked. They have the usual fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters (for a school that does the quarters system).

And then they have a December term/graduate intercession that lasts about 2 1/2 weeks.

https://education.depaul.edu/admit/Pages/calendar.aspx

https://academics.depaul.edu/calendar/Pages/default.aspx

In your defense, I did see one thing that referenced a "December quarter," but it's not a quarter by any normal definition. Quarters don't last 2 1/2 weeks.

It's more like the January term that Centre College has (had?).
