We could be fans of Kentucky...who are in total Cal sucks meltdown mode now.

3 of the worst losses in Cal's tenure in one season.

The grass is not always greener, despite what you might be observing.

:joy:

Great comp there. UNC is 1-6 in the worst ACC in a decade+. I'd say the grass is, indeed, greener around here. Top 5 All Time LHF post.

I'm pretty shocked to hear that the Jay and Silent Bob reboot didn't live up to the hype

First day back physically in the office in a week. I don't ever remember having the flu before- but I picked it up somewhere along the way. Added on a respiratory infection for good measure. I had a flu shot a couple of months back so I'm firmly on team Anti-Vaxxer now. BIG PHARMA is not going to run my life.

Penny became public enemy #1 for me for no real reason other than the fear that he may steal recruits or that he would take Sonja from Harbourtown away from our guy. 1 year in an I'm not sure that was a worthwhile hatred on my part.

Not a big sweets guy but have always thought King Cakes were worth the hype.

You've still got to knock 'em down, but all 4 of Zion's 3's last night were completely uncontested looks. I think he'll be a good one, but we probably need to pump the brakes... main thing for him is to be consistent and stay healthy and see how his body handles the load. Dont need to judge his entire career based off 20 minutes.

So is the tax revenue for the sports betting bill only going to be $22M/year? I thought it would be much more than that. What am I missing?

I don't see Bama having a much better roster than they do this year. They have some dudes & an elite PG.

They & especially Miss St have been really disappointing this year, imo. (Florida is on another level, obviously)

-Is Evansville going to go down as being the worst team to ever beat a ranked Kentucky team? The VMI team in 2008 ended up winning 24 games. The Crispin brothers made the sweet 16. The Gardner-Webb team had a winning conference record and finished .500 overall. This Evansville team is 0-7 in the Missouri Valley. Granted, they lost their coach, but they're gonna end up with 20 losses. Good grief.

-I could see Mike Brey being this year's "need a change of scenery" guy and taking another job. I know he's a great fit at Notre Dame in general, but they've been running in place the past couple of years, and their recruiting has gotten kind of stagnant.

-Penny got ALL the smoke last night. That felt good.

-Every year there's a team that rises up in the early rankings out of nowhere, then just as quickly drops like an anchor. Guess that's Michigan this year. Not having the Livers kid is killing them, but they were obviously over-inflated from the beginning. Still, Howard is killing it on the recruiting trail. Top 10 next year.

-im in the dgaf camp when it comes to a rivals ex-players(Lamar or Zion for ex.) in the pros. Root neither for nor against...they are non entities in my mind. Actively "hating on" them is a bad look imo...means they're still on your mind, which is bad imho.

I agree in general, but there are a few that I rooted for failure. Number 1 being Christian Laetner. Others fitting that mold included Shane Battier, Tyler Hansbrogh, JJ Redick, Joakim Noah, and Fransisco Garcia. Sometimes the hatred just runs too deep.

I feel nothing for Zion, and actually didn't hate him when he was at Duke. He's a freakish athlete who is fun to watch. That's about the extent of it.

More than anything else I simply hate the ESPN hype train. They had a damn countdown clock in the corner last night that stayed on your TV during the commercials. And for what? The guy was clearly not in shape and they had a minutes limit on him.

If you didn’t stay up and see his 3 minute “burst” in the 4th quarter then you didn’t really see anything out of him. Nice countdown!

That said, what he did in that 3 minutes was intoxicating and I found myself happy for the kid. Especially with the game on the line and the coach “trying” to get him out by sending not 1 but 2 subs to and pulling them back, and then signaling for a T.O. only to have Lonzo completely ignore him.

Same. There are certainly players I do continue to hate, but by and large I couldn't care less. Zion is incredible to watch, seems like a great kid, etc. I'm a fan.

Also don't understand the raging Penny/Memphis hate. Seems silly & well beneath UK Fan. I mean, WGAF about touching Memphis? I only have so much hate to spread around, and don't wanna take away from UofL/IU/UNC/Duke.

Was glad to see Bubba Parham foul out against Louisville last night while totally exactly ZERO points. Dude comes into Rupp, hits 10 3's, goes to the YUM Center and throws up a big ole goose egg.

Dayton is THAT team. I do not want to see them near UK in the bracket. Threw a little coin on them to win it all. This year, why not. I got them at +2500. They are more than Obi Toppin, they have 5 guys averaging double figures ppg, the 6th man averages just shy of 9 ppg. Shoot free throws good, Toppin shoots 34% from three, but three other starters shoot over 40%, and the other starter and 6th man shoot over 30%. Toppin only plays 30 minutes per game, they have 6 guys who average over 20 mpg and 4 others average from 10-14 mpg. They have depth, shoot it well and a veteran team. Toppin is a sophomore the rest JR. RS JR. and Sr's. they play 3 guards along with Toppin at 6-9 and Mikesell at 6-7 who is a stretch PF. Modern basketball at its finest.

Adding to that, it's pretty hilarious that Dayton >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Archie & IU.

They & Seton Hall are pretty good longshot bets, although SH odds have dropped a ton in recent weeks. Powell is just one of those dudes who can single handedly win games (as we've seen up close), and they have some nice other pieces.

Hope they get bounced though, as Willard is one of Harmon's coaches that he sucks off to the point of complete weirdness. Cronin ([sick]) & Holtmann being the others. Seriously, who TF worships Mick Cronin? He's the most hateable coach maybe in all of sports.

Wiseman was paid by the long time UK booster Anfernee Hardaway so we would have absolutely been punished.

-Love for PTI to enlighten us on the Wiseman recruitment. Let's hear it, boss? What were the other red flags? Tell us all about the Wiseman recruitment. He's the reason I hate Penny and Penny was 2nd to only Mash for me when I was growing up.

-I think Howard has the best chance of the 3 to succeed. #1 reason is having a great experience coach at his side and the fact he's coached adults before Michigan. Stackhouse is already a disaster. Penny started better than I expected but he's got a pretty big mess to clean up.

If Penny or Zion were of European descent, Wodie would have no issue rooting for their failure.

I’ll just say that. @ me if I’m wrong, but trust me, there will no no @s here today.

So you hate Penny, a childhood favorite, b/c our coach whiffed on his 17th straight elite recruit? [thumb2] Makes sense.

Vandy is cursed of late, hard to judge Stackhouse just yet. Lost Garland last year, and Nesmith (23ppg, 52% 3)) this year.
Yep. Also, because I hate ***** *** Memphis fans. Also because you suck him off all the time.

Mainly Stack's letter to the fan base and he's not recruiting anywhere near the other 2.
