The EJ jumpers are so bad. My question is why are they still happening? Does Cal see them as a part of the offense that is coming along? Does he want them as part of the offense? If so, that's scary. It's troubling to think he's that dumb. (I don't think he is.)
If that's not the case the only other possibilities are that no one has told EJ to stop. (Seems unlikely?) Or that they tell him and he keeps doing it anyway. If that's the case why isn't he getting benched for it? Or getting yelled at? Or called out publicly? It's hard at this point not to circle back to the idea that Cal likes that part of his game and wants him to keep it up. Which is hard to understand.
