Give me Cousins over Towns. Boogie was dominant in college. It's our fault we didn't get the ball to him vs WV. Towns is the better talent and will probably have a better overall NBA career but Cousins was better in college, imo.

My lineup:
PG- Knight
SG- Monk
SF- Gilchrist
PF- Davis
C- Cousins

Aaron Harrison

He's currently playing in Turkey while his brother is on a G-League team. For Aaron, that's a really smart move. He doesn't have the athleticism to make the NBA so why not go ball in Europe for a decade, make serious loot, and have a blast? That to me seems far, far better than playing for the Scranton Shitheads of the G-League.

One of my favorite UK random facts is that Heshimu Evans became a dual Portuguese citizen so that he could continue playing there because a large percent had to be citizens.

Actually makes sense for Andrew to play G-League. He has a legit shot to be picked up due to some injury. Even short contracts pay a ton.

Aaron has pretty much no chance to make a roster and it makes sense for him to maximize his Euro opportunities.

Already have, bub.

The two oldest 100 milers in the country (Western States and Vermont) are horse races, and in the early 80s humans decided to jump into the field. Eventually, their own races were created. Still today in Vermont, the start and finish lines are identical, and much of the course is the same, so you're constantly running alongside each other. That was my first 100 miler.

Humans are faster, by the way. Horses are actually required to stop for long periods of time in order to prevent overheating/death.

It’s now the sobering reality of January. Christmas and all that comes with it is officially in the rear view. It’s a new year and a new beginning and it’s time for the grind of playing on the road in league play.

That’s right, folks. Buckle up for 9:10 tip off times that may or may not lead to extreme redass that causes one to fall asleep around 1:00 am or so.

Pack up the pickup, Hootie, and head to your ******** arena for your only game this season. Can’t wait for blocks that are charges, charges that are blocks and packs of floppy bang ******** going bananas with their pom poms as their career 19% 3 point shooter banks in his 4th 3 pointer of the night. TIME TO EMBRACE THE GRIND.

Bogdanovic last night:

33 minutes, 35 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks

You have to really be trying not to get a single rebound if you are 6'8 and play 33 minutes.

A few random “old” notes...

- I am not a BOOMER. Gen X damnit! The next one of my kids who says “OK Boomer” to me is going to lose their IPhone for a week. Although their response to that action would be “OK Boomer”. 07 is by far the biggest culprit.

- Tried on a pair of Vans this weekend. 05’s reaction...”NO! You are so old.” :flushed:

- “Dad you have played Madden your whole life. I can barely name 5 players in the NFL and can still beat you.” -05 :eek::eek:

- 08 beat me the other day in Madden as well. Sad times.

- My NY resolution is to keep up with my kids. Those little (BIG) effers are fast! 05 is 6 feet tall and runs sub 12 2 Milers for training. 07 goes 100 mph on his skateboard and bike and dominates hills like they aren’t even there. And even little 08...dusted me the other day in a bike ride. THIS WILL CHANGE!

^ and pressing for the home state crowd and school he spurned. :eyes:

This one has danger written all over it, as does the 1st true road test of the year any year, no matter who we're playing. Any win will be a good one tonight.

I do look for the EJ/Khalil/Brooks trio to step it up tonight for a combined 6 & 4, which would be about 50% better than usual.

Is Hagans actually playing? Last time he played hurt he played so bad that he looked like he was point shaving. I'd rather him sit than do that again especially on the road.

-For all his weird gyrations at least Crean typically plays an acceptable brand of basketball. Don't think we're in for a 6'9 325 pound backne covered chalky falling all over our guys. Obviously Stegman will be packed for the first time in 12 months.

-BTW, if we lose bet the house on Auburn Saturday.

-Ravech, Bilas and Marty Smith on the call tonight? Huh?

-Heard a stat on Locked On, UGA has 2 top 25 non conference road wins...ALL TIME. 115 years. :joy: That's so embarrassing with the resources and local talent they have. My word.

-Another fun stat, Bengals last playoff win was 1991. :joy:

-Speaking of enough is enough. Still in good shape but have added about 10lbs of unwanted nonsense from tailgate season through vacations and never ending holidays. Pretty impressive considering I'm still working out minimum of 5-6 hours per week.

-Excited about football next year, but have to be honest, I'm really worried about play makers. Not sure when the last time we were headed into a season with this much uncertainty about who is going to score.

I’d imagine we will ride our all world offensive line and stable of backs next season. The identity won’t change from being a physical, run first team. I read something from Stoops & Gran recently where they think they can do a version of what they did with Bowden with Wilson.

I think Clevan Thomas can be a stud. Ali is good in space. Bryce Oliver and Allen Dailey did a remarkable job blocking this past season and have playmaking ability.

I think a healthy Terry Wilson is exactly what they want. I just hope he's fully healthy at the start of fall practice.
