Honestly, how many people on here really like PJ's pizza? I've had frozen pizzas that are better IMO. I'm not hating on the guy but I've always wondered how he built such a large pizza franchise based on the product.
The pizza is delivery style pizza. It is what it is. When it’s hot, it’s a decent pie. It doesn’t reheat well and I would never eat it at a game when it’s been under a heat lamp for hours. That being said, John Schnatter has paid quite a price. He has been railroaded out of the business he built from the ground up. If he wants to switch his allegiances and donate a crap ton of money to UK to stick it to Louisville, more power to him. I think him and Cal are friends and Cal doesn’t turn his back on his friends.

OK...but all I was saying is that I don't think his pizza is very good.

In the 90s when it was exploding, they were the best of the mega national chains, imo. Wasn't saying much, but they put out a consistent, if unremarkable, pizza that just doesn't reheat that well.

Since then, Dominos has seriously stepped up their game, freezer pizzas have gotten better, and even big box guys like Costco are in that space now with a decent product. Not to mention every local shop is better than PJ's.

I'm glad you mentioned Costco Pizza. CP is 100x better than PJ pizza IMO...and cheaper as well.

Probably an unpopular take but..
I always thought it was pretty good for our area. Not a lot of good pizza in Kentucky. I don’t think it’s as good as I used to, but at one point, I loved it.

I get that...but I've never really liked it. Too much tomato sauce I think. I do like the peppers though.

And let me add this in all seriousness..the dude made a good fortune making what I would call a less than average pizza...so good for him. [thumb2] I'm being serious BTW. If you like it [thumb2]

When papa johns pizza was on the up and up, dominoes was trash. Pizza Hut was a sit down restaurant. Little Caesar’s wasn’t that good either, though that place has come a long way, and so has dominoes. If you wanted pizza delivery, there wasn’t a whole lot to choose from, and IMO, papa johns was the best.

even while he was associated with UL, I think he was pretty good about throwing money at Kentucky. UK cut ties with him.

We need upgrades to our indoor practice facility. Let’s start there. Thanks.
Ok. Say that gets done. Then what?

Asfar as the indoor facility goes. New playing surface. Maybe resurface the track if needed, paint job, maybe upgrade the lighting. What else can you do in that facility? It’s a multi-sport building, not football exclusive.

outside of that, we have a new state of the art practice facility, completely new practice fields, a completely renovated stadium, and a new top notch recruiting room, vastly increased recruiting budget and resources. I just have a hard time with people thinking the football program still isn’t getting enough attention from the administration.

When you say every local shop is better that PJ’s that’s kinda like saying Mussel and Burger Bar is better than Wendy’s. Of course it is. And you pay for that difference in quality too.
