Just so I can see it where is that post. Which thread is it in?
You got nailed again. You are one of 6% of the fan base that have no idea what basketball is all about. Glad you have finally been outed as to how unrealistic you are. 94% of the UK fans understand how lucky we are to have Cal as our coach and a few losers will complain no matter what.

Should I vote? [roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll][roll]

Final Fours the 13 years before Cal - Zero. Final Fours in the 10 years Cal has been here - 4 (not to mention 7 elite 8's). We have the most wins of any program in the last decade, more final fours and have been to two championship games and won 1. We have dominated our rival. Anyone who wants Cal gone has an extremely short memory span and isn't looking at the big picture. It seems like an extreme reaction to me because we aren't meeting expectations this year.

Roy Williams and UNCheat went through a drought after 2009 then went to back to back championships in '16 and '17. Now they suck again. Just sayin, it happens to every program and things could be a LOT worse. We will be back on top soon!

94% of UK fans. How do you know how I voted?

Just because you can leap over Cardsstink's Vette doesn't mean you can read minds.

I guess we’ll see, usually I’m pretty optimistic teams will pull it together. But, very hard to win with zero inside game and I don’t believe in Nick or EJ. This reminds me of the Ulis/Murray year. Those two guards were way ahead of Hagans/Maxey/Quickley and didn’t make it out of the first weekend.
And Skal/Poythress were better than NR and EJ.

Question for some of you that obviously love Cal and think he is near perfect:

Do you actually sit and watch these games not questioning anything the man does??

Half court offense
timeout usage/non-usage
Not having shooters
Extremely short bench every season

Nothing??

If that’s the case then that is the weirdest effing thing I’ve ever heard of. You see from this poll that a vast majority still want him here, just want to see a couple tweaks in his system. So what is the problem with discussing possible changes on a message board? The lengths that Cal defenders are going to are just creepy to me.

I question lots. But I definitely don’t want him gone. He’s the best for the job.

Exactly . Spot on accurate. I'm tired of the " you want Cal fired" because you point out obvious shortcomings .
i agree, but if 90% of a person's posts are "Cal sucks". That person probably wants him gone.
Analogous to the spouse thing...if 90% of the time when a person comments on their spouse a negative way...someone probably needs to get out of that relationship (unfortunately, my experience)... and JMO.
I am much a happier, but I also wasn't paid millions to stay married...lol

So here is the poll...
Before the season I posted something like this (not a poll, just a general question). not one poster said they wanted him gone.
Everyone that posted in response said that nobody wants him gone, it’s just criticism.
11 games into season a thread is started saying he should move on and that post has about 30 likes.
So, what gives?
Finally a poster has the balls to say it, and suddenly there are many who want him gone.
I wonder how many of us would stay if an honest poll like this was conducted by friends, foes and family?

The list who I'd take if Cal got tired of the hassle is pretty short . But we are one of the top 5 jobs in America at the college level , it will draw serious experienced candidates , not like we will stop being a top program. Doesnt really matter , I want Cal here and the rest is hot air .

my point was that if she complained about you 90% of the time...then one of you should be gone...no matter how much love there...
are you happy? you are going to make me cry...
jk...i am soo happy for anyone in a great marriage. I would only wish my hell on certain UL fans

Out of 72 votes so far, 66 say no they don’t want Cal gone.

You’d have thought by some of the posts this week every one of us who have voiced concerns wanted him gone by the responses we got here.

Never question anything.

I vote my rationale not my emotions.Otherwise my kids and grandkids would be homeless. And I too would be homeless.
You should have waited till Monday to do this.
eeeek....Monday win or lose, may not be as true as going into the game...
that was my thought (which could definitely be wrong)

Yeah like the long line of applicants that ushered in the hiring of Billy G.

I would agree with the gist of this as well. I also don’t particularly like the NBA talk, but I understand it’s part of his recruiting pitch and I think he feels it’s necessary to emphasize in order to get those Uber elite five star kids.

So, I guess I can live with the NBA talk as long as we recruit and perform similar to the first 5-6 years. But, if you can’t get those Uber elite guys, the NBA talk doesn’t fly as easily. I get that.
We are getting "uber elite 5*?

These are all valid as well. Be willing to play zone at times if personnel dictates. He is a stubborn guy in some ways. Even Coach K has no qualms playing zone with the young kids if needed. Not sure why Cal has such an aversion to it. The OOB plays drives me just as well. Even on full court press he won’t stagger the guards and have them pick and roll to the ball. He just has them run to try and get position.

But having said all of that, I still love Cal. He is a perfect fit for UK and I believe he will right the ship. I still strongly remember the BCG and even the latter Tubby years. I think Cal has been to an extent a product of his own initial success. No one could’ve expected the run he had the first five years. The last five have certainly been a downward trajectory, but in all fairness, there was really no other way to go. Those first years were unmatched by any other coach.

He will get it corrected. If anything else, his ego and competitor nature will insure that IMO. At least that’s my hope. Honestly, anyone calling for Cal to leave has no legit option for a replacement that is even in the same stratosphere as Cal. That’s the truth.
Offer Brad Steven's twice what he's making...oh wait, Cal already makes that.

We are getting elite 5 stars but not the upper echelon of them. At least the past 2-3 seasons. Especially with regard to the big men. That is what is lacking this year ImO. We were a lock for Wiseman before Penny took the job. We were in the final two for Zion. We get those one additional guys past couple years that makes a huge difference down low. Even if we had added Blackshear this year, and it sounds like we were right there in the final two with florida, that also makes a huge difference on this teams success. To have a viable and dominant post player is the major hole in this years team.
