We are going to struggle with finishing and there are some teams coming up that may be 20 pts better than us...wonder who he's talking about?

Something that a good coach needs to work on with his team...finishing games and staying mentally focused. Calipari has something going for him this year: Veteran players in major roles that have been there before. No reason to not be prepared and focused.

You have a leader in Hagans who can get everyone engaged and involved and two guys in the middle who SHOULD be averaging in double figures in rebounding. Showing effort on defense and rebounding will fix a lot of issues.

Im not sure it’s coach speak. We had some real flat stretches yesterday where a better team could have made a run against us.

The guards as a whole need to reduce their turnovers.

The Cats stepped up and played at high energy against Michigan State, we now know they(MSU) aren't as good as previously thought, I haven't kept up with OSU but UL will come in motivated to win so they better be ready. The injuries have set this team back at least 2-3 weeks from where it could have been. I have been very pleased with the effort from Nick and Ashton, a little disappointed in Tyrese after the way he started and Kahlil and Johnny look like true freshmen, Keion is coming along pretty good, EJ is EJ never know what you will get from him. March is the most important but we love it when they jell faster than that.

Loserville is offensively challenged. There’s no excuse to lose to them at home. OSU is a toss-up game that could go either way. I still don’t know whether they’re really good (same with us as well) or if they’ve simply been hot like Michigan was for awhile. We’ll know soon enough.

We show up ready to play, we at least go 1-1.

Show up like we are playing Appalachian State Wireless, 0-2.

We'll be a slight favorite at home vs UL
We'll probably be a slight underdog vs OSU on a neutral court.

Most probable scenario is we go 1-1.

Also we should beat Utah but if we some reason we do not, those other two games become even more massive. You do not want to go into conference play at 0-3 in the last three.

OSU just lost to freaking Minnesota by 17 points...give me a break. Louisville just lost to TT by 13.

UK has played one really bad game all year and they had two starters hurt....and it was the 3rd game of the year. It was piss poor, but it was one game...not to mention many seem to be ignoring how good our defense has been over the last 4 games.

I don't think anyone is dominant this year but I also don't think there are multiple teams out there that will smack us around.

I agree with you 100%

That being said, if we say that Evansville was just one game we also need to say the UL and OSU games were also just one game.

I think we go 1-1. I do think both OSU and UL are very good teams this season, especially OSU who coming into that Minn game wasn't just beating teams but blowing teams out.

For a fee I can fix EJ's finishing around the rim in ten minutes. Tell him to hold the ball one beat longer on his fingers before release. Thats it. His touch will dramatically change. The reason bigs miss shots around the basket is not because they are are uncoordianted and have not touch, its because they yip it and start releasing the shot before they've fully engaged the rim. They do this out of fear of getting their shot blocked. In reality its almost impossible to block a short jump hook and it just takes trust to turn.

Teach EJ to wait the extra beat until his eyes find the rim, and then release with touch. He'll make 80% of them guaranteed.

Oh yeah. I agree...they are one game too, I'm just saying no team is infallible. Bad games happen.

I think OSU presents more of a challenge for us, specifically down low with Sestina likely out. I just don't see UofL handling our guard play very well.

I still think we win both.

Ohio St. may be a team that has peaked early but we know UK has not. UL will come in and give us a fit because they are a better team than I thought but UK should win over both of these and should beat Utah.

UK wins both. No problem. This team gets up for the big games/ stage. tOSU, 4-6 point win. U6, 8-10 point win easily.

As far as closing, i'm a bit worried that Ashton appears to be our most consistent offensive player. He's turnover prone and I still don't completely trust him as a closer. Maxey has the ability to be that guy but he has had some terrible shooting games since Mich State. I was beginning to think confident EJ could be a nice closer but his performance in the Georgia Tech game probably closed the door on that.

This is so ridiculous it’s funny. Well done.

Everything is going to be ok, I just went outside and the sky is still there. I didn't see any stars, it's cloudy, so some will still freak.
