Opposite foot or not, you rarely see a dude use that move to transition to a tomohawk jam.

Manu Ginoboli was the first player I remember using that as part of the repertoire... and I always thought it was traveling.

The thing is, UK is supposed to have the freakish raw athletes ... not needing the slow/cagey/YMCA/honkydaddy maneuvers. Sad.

We couldn’t break 70 against a team who lost to Syracuse by 30 and is ranked 95th in KenPom.

Probably need to slow it down more.

I went to a Cal coaching clinic while he was still at Memphis in 2008 (may have mentioned that before). Saw that team practice. They spent 45 minutes doing that full court “perfection” drill and 30 minutes of it was finishing with the “Manu step,” now affectionately referred to as the Euro step. So, it’s at least 11 years old. Don’t think he’s going to ditch it.

Maybe it’s only because I haven’t seen much of UK since Nov 5, but today was about what I expected. A few glimpses of good, but still boring *** half court basketball.

You want to see our best player Maxey do his best, let the kids run! Otherwise Hagans will be our best player doing exactly what he did all game, sit in the middle of that zone.

- Cawood, regarding Down Home what does “it slaps” mean?

For some weird reason Heisman night was always a huge party night in college for our gang. Well, maybe being a Saturday night in college is not weird, but we had some great nights out on Heisman evening. Was a joy to watch Couch up in New York while getting hammered and playing pool at the UCLUB.

Could it be that a 10-win football team took all the air out of the room?

or, is it that this BB squad completely fails the look test?

Love having Prime Time golf, I’ve watched almost every minute of the Pres Cup coverage this week.

Threw a C note on the US +130 today, keep it rollin’ team.
It’s been a game changing President's Cup. If you are not watching or have not watched, the next couple hours will be exciting and worth the channel change.

Hagans looks infinitely better as does his shot.

Maxey played great D on their best player so I'll forgive him on offense but man his threes never look good to me.

Richards wow.

EJ what a giant disappointment. So far.

I don't know let's run December.

This year has been the least interested in UK basketball I’ve ever been. I hope that changes.

If you are like me at all I’d say it has to do with schedule. We didn’t get any cupcakes before facing MSU, and then it was 8-9 cupcakes in a row before 2 decent opponents then #3 and #1 back to back.

No I don’t need to see Duke /UL every game.

I’d like a decent opponent mixed in every 2-3 games to gauge how the team I spend my whole winter following will fair.

It also gives them games in between to work on things I can see that they need to. Otherwise I can’t take any good out of the cupcakes, nor can I blame the kids for being bored with the competition level and playing down.

Came back in consecutive holes as well.

Thought about betting against Reed because of all the hoopla but that guy loves being the villain and thrives in that role.

Some cadets at the Army/Navy game had their circle game(look at it and get hit) gestures caught on camera. In 2019 we get this:

Everything from expulsion to death is being thrown around, by a certain side in that thread, as a penalty for the cadets.

Dvr'd the game to go to the early TJ Miller show with some old friends who live out of town. They are currently moving and have an infant so they couldn't make the late show. Looks like I didn't miss anything UK basketball-wise.

The TJ Miller show was bizarre. He was absolutely trashed on what appeared to be far more opiate-y than good KY bourbon. He hugged the wall the whole time and didn't even do a set, just interacted with the audience. It was, however, still really funny.

He pulled a dating couple out of the crowd and performed a mock wedding ceremony and then just literally dropped the mike and walked out. He was on stage for less than 30 minutes, probably closer to 20. Thankfully the intro act was solid and came out did his best impression of a Ryan Lemond stand-in for a few minutes so the wait-staff could at least distribute checks.

It felt like a guy who probably needs to be finding a good rehab facility, asap.

Yeah, kind of a similar experience. No real bits whatsoever, just more crowd interaction. Also bolted in less than 30, but actually came back out and even talked about how his two sets last night were about 34 minutes...and how he usually does Over an hour. He was funny, but GTFO with that weak sauce. No wonder Silicon Valley wrote him off.
