Georgetown’s James Akinjo and Josh Leblanc have both entered the transfer portal, source told @Stadium. HUGE hit to the Hoyas.

Akinjo was Big East Freshman of the year. LeBlanc is a bigger body but wirey and avg double digits last year I believe.

For some reason a lot of Georgetown games are on in NKy so I've seen both play last year and this year.

Akinjo is pretty good but is very slight...Probably 5'10 170ish..

Akinjo leaving is very surprising. He had an outstanding freshman year (the Big East Frosh of the Year) and really seemed to be thriving there.

I watched their last game vs UNCG and Akinjo was forcing a ton of shots and just didn’t look interested in team ball. Damn near every time he touched the ball it was a forced miss shot or a turnover. He had a terrible game.

They ended up losing that game too.

Yeah, that reads more like they were kicked off the team, rather than simply deciding to transfer. Sounds like something bad happened behind the scenes that they don't want to tell us about.

This.
It wasn't a choice by the kids. They got caught with weed, guns or sexual harassment. Ewing is doing them a favor and not announcing.

Yes both are pretty good players. Shocked Akinjo is leaving, guess he didnt like mac mcclung getting the spotlight as much as him. Leblanc is a very athletic player but is on the road to be incarcerated. Their best player is their big Yurtseven or something like that. Hes gonna play in the nba. Akinjo would of as well.

You are right on Leblanc, and maybe sooner than expected.
There is more to it for Akinjo.
