I had Directv until a couple of months ago, and I heard they kept showing the volleyball game. Spectrum had it on SEC alternate channel from the opening tip. 2nd time this year that I was glad I switched. I guess there is nobody that mans the Directv
programming on a Sunday night. Couldn't have been the network since Spectrum had it.

It was on SEC Alternate from the start. They arent going to preempt ongoing programming. Either you get that channel or you dont. Has nothing to do with anyone manning a switch. Once the program ends, the game is shown on the channel it is scheduled to air on.

Since this seems to be an old folks issue, Ill frame it this way. Does 60 minutes stsrt on time everytime on Sunday on CBS or do you have to wait for the NFL to finish if a game goes into OT? [laughing]

Something has to be going on, because my best friend called me and he has SEC alt, on his Directv, but it did not carry the game. On Spectrum, the regular SEC channel also carried the volleyball game until the end, which was 8:00 minutes left in the first half of the UK game. However, I watched the SEC alt channel, on Spectrum, which carried it from the tip, so apparently something was not done by Directv, to put the feed onto the alternate channel, but Spectrum did. It is not an "old folks issue." Plus, smart guy, the feed to the alternate channel did not end, when the regular SEC channel picked up the game. It continued, at least till half time. I didn't check it after that.

It never does end on the alternate channel smart guy. Unless another program is being shuffled over there that our game would have subsequently preeempted. Dear Lord.....

You need to quit posting, since you are really beginning to make yourself look foolish. The UT game is on, at this very minute, and it is not on SEC alt. There is nothing on there except the Logo squares. You just keep posting, hoping you might stumble onto something that's right. :joy:

Holy crap dude....the Alternate channel is there as a contingency for situations just like what we had yesterday. It doesnt show programming 24/7. Are you really this dense? I have no words. The fact you dont understand how this works defies logic. Whether your particular provider switched over is different issue altogether. Dear Lord....it's a miracle some of you manage to even get on the internet to post this foolishness.

If you have DirectTV you have an ESPN app login. In the time you posted your idiocy you could have logged in and watched the game on SEC Alt yesterday instead of ignorantly bitching on here.

I get the alternate channel on direct when football games on Saturday are scheduled on it, but when the game is not scheduled to be on the alternate I don’t get it. It is definitely a Direct TV issue.

Your the one that is showing ignorance. If you could actually comprehend what you read, you would have seen that I said that I watched it from the tip, on the alternate. YOU, said that anytime there is not different programming being run on it, that the alternate runs the same programming. End of story, and you are officially on the ignored list. I usually do this to people who just want to argue their point, over and over again, even when they are so wrong.

That's what I keep trying to tell this guy, and he just keeps arguing. Bless his heart.

Precisely. My buddy has DTV and has same issue. Like I said in my rant there as Im sure you know, the ESPN app does the job.

Now should folks who pay for Direct TV be hot about it? Hell yes. But the ESPN app definitely takes care of it, which subscribers all have access too.

Thanks for clearing that up genius and telling me something I already said. You cant make this **** up.[laughing] Have a good one champ, we're done here.
