What is Hagans doing?

Hagans just isn’t that good
Trash, just like quickley. We could pick 2 guards at random from any other SEC school and be better off.
I can't remember a game we missed more point-blank shots, and Hagans was EASILY the worst of anyone.
They are not trash. I understand being upset, but you need to keep that kind of stuff off the board.
I don’t know what was up with Hagans, but he never was in the game! Cal should have left him on the bench.
Offensively, Hagans is offensive. Hagans also can’t keep his man in front of him. It’s his off-ball defense that makes him a good defender. But I don’t know what exactly he gave us tonight.
Quickley is just inconsistent.
This board has said Hagans and Quickley are definitely gone after this year .

What do they do? Hagans gets the occasional steal, Quickley hits the occasional 3. What else? They clearly can't be relied upon. Don't you remember how terrible Hagans was at the end of last season? People howling for Cal to take him out but we couldn't because we had no one else (should have been Quickley, but same thing applies).
Hagans didn’t run back on defense the first 4 minutes of Second half. Didn’t play hard till last minute. That’s why we lost. That’s not a leader. Sestina our other leader was getting beat continuously.
He is defensive back playing basketball - outside being a stellar athlete he has little basketball skill
I will say this and I’ve been saying it — Hagans does nothing on the court — not one thing at an NBA level. He COULD be a very good college guard. With development. But NBA ready he is not and I’m not sure he ever will be. Which is fine! Not everyone is an NBA player. The problem becomes when dudes that aren’t NBA level talents THINK they are.
Hagans looked lost tonight. Seemed like he was spaced out or something. UK's offense was as pathetic tonight as I have seen in a while. Cal keeps talking about playing random. I'm not sure I like that/ These guys aren't good enough to do that.
Tonight pulled that veil off UK. Very disappointing

I have no problem with you being upset with them, I’m upset myself. My issue is you called them trash. That’s not good for the players or future recruiting. Like it or not, but these are our players for the rest of the year.
Honestly both Hagans and Quickley look like 4 years players . I’m fine with that if they actually stayed four years . Unfortunately I don’t expect that to happen though.
It will be up to Maxey to lead this bunch . Offensively there just isn’t a lot of talent on the team .
Yep. I’m happy with 4 year players as long as they don’t think they’re something different than a 4 year player.
Unfortunately getting recruited by UK automatically makes these guys think they are one and one . That and their high rankings coming out of HS..
The point blank shots are beginning to be a trend. Don't know why they miss so many. Free throw shooting has been a bright spot. That's unusual.
Hagans was not himself tonight. Something mental or physical seemed to be going on.
And the coach has to try and get them qualified to be drafted, at the expense of the team.
He’s hurt. Cal said so in postgame. Surely the above posters talking trash can see that. He is a much better basketball player then he has shown I the last two games.
There was a runaway dunk toward the end of the game and Hagans just totally quit on the play. Didn’t even try to get back to challenge the shot. He’s reminding me of early last season when PJ thought he was too cool for school, wouldn’t hustle, etc.
Scariest thing, two crucial trips down the floor late and he thinks he should be the one putting it up. And he failed. Those two trips could have changed the outcome but not understanding you let your best shoot the ball in those situations is scary.
Quickley seems fine to me, never been a big believer in hagans on offense tho, dude has never been able to finish at the rim. Hes like the anti freshman season Isaiah Briscoe when it comes to finishing layups.
It seems that far too many of our players have trouble finishing point blank shots. Hagans is the worst, but Richards and EJ are right behind him. It's actually more of a headscratcher for Richards and EJ due to their size. They just don't go up strong often enough.
Yep....it kills me when people praise his defense. He is a risk taker and gets stills in the passing lanes and ****....he is probably the worst on our team keeping his defender in front of him
But I thought, to read on this very site, we had the very best guard combo in the whole wide basket ball world.

Auburn game hagans is the worst (I refer to it as NCAA tournament hagans as he was just plain awful the entire tournament), its especially frustrating when theres another guard playing decent while hagans continues to see court time after mistake after mistake, like the auburn game when quickley was doing ok but was mostly kept on the bench in favor of hagans who just kept sucking it up. There were people on this board the other day saying hagans is a top 2 or 3 PG in CBB, and my only question to them is, have you seen hagans play college basketball? He had one great stretch of ball, and outside of that stretch has been just turrible.
In the first half, the refs were absolute trash, second half no excuses though. That and one by maxey that was called a charge in the first half was absolutely criminal though, kind of a game changer at that point.
The reason Quickley did not play over Hagans against Auburn is that he cannot handle the ball, he sure as **** was not going to dribble it up against those Auburn guards. Hagans made bad decisions and missed a thousand layups, but at least he could get the ball across halfcourt. So we had (have) two 5 star PGs who cannot be relied upon in any real way to play that position.
Idk I dont remember quickley turning it over trying to dribble up the court too often during the times hagans was on the bench. Another way to avoid having hagans in the game, pass the ball up the court? Because hes way too much of a liability for that to be the reason he plays. Not only did he miss everything he didnt defend and was a turmover machine vs auburn/during the tournament.
I'm not sure what to tell you. Even now, as a sophomore against bad teams, he still is not a primary ball handler, it's always in Hagans or Maxey's hands. He cannot create, his first instinct is always to pick up his dribble and pass.
