The schedule is stout but with this monster test behind them at Lubbock v TT is not until late Jan and at UF is not until March.

Just sayin

U of L will be tough but they aint beating us in Rupp.

The schedule sets up near perfect.

We just beat the #1 team in America. Plus, who gets a team to improve more during the season than Cal? The only thing that can derail this train is an injury.

Good grief how can people be so stupid ? I would love to go 40-0 but will most likely will not see it happen again as there is to much balance in teams anymore.

At the moment there are 3 other ranked SEC teams Florida, Auburn, and LSU. We play at all 3. UT is thought by many to be good though not like the last couple years. Still Knoxville is always a tough place for UK. And we have 5 other road games the SEC. someone might surprise us. Ohio St on a neutral court, at Texas Tech, and though it pains me to say it UL in Rupp. Some are saying UL could be the best team in the country. We won’t lose all of those, but I have to figure we won’t win them all either.

Then 40-0 again next year. I can see it.

In fact, the way recruiting is going, the Cats may never lose again until Cal retires.

WC its a combo of things:
A. Beating #1 on Nov. 5 on neutral court
B. The fact that Cal’s teams have so much upside based on youth and talent as season progresses.
C. Schedule-its set up nicely with toughest road games not coming until late Jan. and early March.
D. U of L game is in Rupp

Have been watching CBB for many years and would love to UK do this but I just don't see it happening.

Well don't jinx it!! Remember what happened in 1997 with Derek Anderson? Or that other guy from 1970 who got hurt during Rupp's last real chance at a Final Four and maybe another championship?

Ain't gonna happen. What difference does it make anyway? The only really important game is the last game of the tournament. If you win that one, doesn't matter what your record is.

Well consider that the 1976 IU Hoosiers were the last college basketball team to pull off an undefeated season, I’d say its a huge deal.
Thats 44 years ago, nearly half a century.
The next team to do it will become instant legends across the world.

UK got a fair whistle Tuesday night, and that’s how every game should be officiated. But, with the amount of money played nowadays, the not so fair whistle will account for at least 2-3 losses. Pair that with a few SEC road games, and nah.

From over 55 years of watching I've seen exactly three UK teams that had a legitimate shot at an undefeated season. Just an opinion but the 1970, 1978 and 2015 teams had the best chance. A lot has to do with the way the schedules are set up but the SEC was not as competitive in 1970 and 1978 as it is now. Vandy did pull the upset in 1970 but overall the conference was fairly weak. The 1978 team did lose a couple of SEC road games but the main nemesis, Tennessee, was down that season and there was no SECT to worry about. Won't even go into the 2015 season although they had a harder road because I still hate thinking about it.
