Bring in Mark's brother if Mark bounces.

But I'd also say the chances of FSU even looking at Mark Stoops is 0% because they think they're better then hiring a coach from Kentucky.

I wouldn’t hate Lane Kiffin coming here if Stoops leaves. But I don’t see Meetch calling him or Leach.

All Lane has to do is show Mitch he’s the man for the job - with PowerPoint, of course.

Sure, we all hate Lane, but our combined hate would pale in comparison to Lane’s hate of Lexington, KY. Can you imagine?

4D has weighed in on the Taggart firing. And not surprisingly race comes up early and often. Also no surprise that he brings up Joker.

Actually like Dan Wolken's suggestion of Gus Malzahn to FSU. It's gotta get old every year to hear about being on the hot seat when as far as I can tell his only crime is that he's not Nick Saban.

So just an FYI on what GYERO Pick is........

Only 1 Barrel proofed higher than the one the guys agreed on, but once we mashed all the barrels together collectively it proofed at 117.2 and GYERO’s Barrel was 119 on the dot.

I decided to Proof the rest down to 113.2 or 112.2, but final decision will be made tomorrow before bottling.

One barrel proofed at 114 and was just about where I want the final product, but again even in here “on ice” and it’s delicious.......tells me a little water is a good thing.

I will admit I love this **** and I am 1000% dug in and loving every conversation, private message, person I meet and discuss with, advisors, people I rely on for feedback etc etc

Was anyone kind enough to get PTI a pour?

Good stuff, Krazy...congrats. Still need to work on that price point considering umpteen better pours out there for half (and more) the cost.

If one of you all send a donation DH bottle to the Whisk[e]y Vault YouTubers, and they give it a glowing review, it would the best endorsement given to a ‘craft’ whiskey for Krazy. Those guys are king-makers.

I’m keeping my bottle though for medicinal purposes.

I don’t mean to sound like a snob, but I’m not sure how to avoid that when talking to you, however you don’t really give an apples to apples comparison about price.

Yes Down Home is not in the $25-40 range, but it also isn’t 90 proof in which you are mostly comparing it to with your “umpteen” better pours.

On 7 barrels that are basically 40% evaporated( that’s a 53 gallon barrel with ~32 gallon left) it takes about 3 gallon of water to drop a whole point.

So currently this batch is at 117.2, and to get to 90 proof we are talking roughly 80 gallon of water just to get to the price you want, because that’s all you care about.

Now in comparison to other non watered down products for the most part we are right in line with the $100-180 for 115 proof or higher bottles out there.

That said we were a lot higher on batch 1, but I shed some greedy people out of my project and got all my licenses etc which will drop the price of this 12 yr bottle by $30-40 on the shelf.

-No clue what the price is on the new 12, but for what we paid, it was worth it.

-I'd prefer to keep Stoops BUT wouldn't be terribly upset going by shopping for a new coach. We haven't made a hire in modern times under favorable conditions. Currently have a really solid talent base, all new facilities, fans are engaged, we were really patient with our current HC, and he's being paid like a mofo in a coach friendly contract. The job is crazy attractive for UK standards.

He still takes it 10 out of 10 times but FSU is in bottom of the barrel for them firing a couch 1.5 years in, after letting Jimbo get away, AD/Pres are short term, talent way down, fan base pissed off.

-IMO, I don't think Mark is the Stoops they want or will appease the fans. We shall see.

-I want no part in promoting someone within from this staff. F*ck that, we've seen that play out. Mitch is smart enough not to make that mistake again, I hope. Wish Stoops/Marrow good luck and go find a better coach. Win-Win.

-Presidential visit at 7p on a Monday in downtown Lexington. Republicans obviously don't understand Monday night etiquette. This is going to be a **** show.

-EJ better not ruin an otherwise positive Fall 2019. Ain't got time for that nonsense.

-5 days of Halloween was a bit much but we had a good time Saturday taking the boys out and sitting around watching BC. (got absolutely smoked, btw)

-Speaking of Bourbon I see where 1792 FP won BotY similar to McKenna last year. Still haven't opened mine.

-Anyone else forget they AirBNB'd their house this weekend and drive 22 hours round trip? Glad I got to hang out with you but... how do you make it through life?

That would be inaccurate. I have 4 bottles of various brands in the 100-120 proof range that are exactly the price point I mentioned. Again, congrats on the venture and continued success. If you can get $80+ retail, then by all means you have a good story to tell.

Rack.

-krazy, I don't hate you or your bourbon venture, but enjoyed playing the gyero villain for a bit. The best gyero posters know when to hang up a shtick. Good luck with it all.

UKO is clueless about most things, including bourbon Krazy; just ignore him.

-I know but like you and I discussed OldFo1920, Knob Creek and Elijah Craig do high proofs and are lower priced. But OldFo is the only distillery not trying to rebrand to make more on their less expensive products.

- SAE, it’s all good sir. I do not take much of this too serious, including myself:100points:

- Cole, I’m aware some are less, hence the point I said that most higher proofs are $100-180. It really breaks my heart that you may never try my Down Home Bourbon.

I have tried it if you will recall my post on here about 2 weeks ago. I said it was good. And I actually saw the 5 1/2 on the shelf at TW.

The people who don’t have certain people on ignore and engage with them are giving the rest of us a classic example of how “herd immunity” works and why everyone who can should get vaccinated.

Those posters have have ignore button deficiencies have to deal with that crap because the ones with healthy ignore buttons don’t do the right thing.
