I’m not remembering overall anyone coming back too quickly, I know some have been hurt again but after being okayed by the doctor. Hopefully if he available he can be productive in any time that he plays.

The fact that he hasnt practiced all week is just about enough to hold him out v Sparty.

I normally agree with the conservative approach when it comes to injuries, but this game could be the difference maker in getting a one seed or not. If he’s really this close to returning tape it up and play. It’s not a major injury he’s coming back from.

We’ve got a whole month of cupcakes coming up. He can take all of them off if he needs to.

Some of you lot seem softer than Charmin. He rolled is ankle, he didn't tear his ACL. You see countless players come back in the same game they roll it in. They just wrap it and tighten the shoes. Nick's happened almost 10 days ago and this is the #1 team in the country to start the season. It might still be sore, but you have the play through it. The adrenaline will carry him for the first 10 - 15, so he likely won't even notice it. After he plays on it a bit, it will likely loosen up until he sits down for extended time again.

Of course he's gonna play this is junior year nick it's now or never if he's gonna take the next step and its opening night 1 vs 2 they're gonna need to drag him off with Clydesdales to keep him out of this one

The biggest thing about playing on an ankle weakened like this is rolling it again and tearing the ligament. Then he's gone for the year. I'd like to have him Tuesday but only if he's really close to 100%. Nick doesn't strike me as a guy that handles pain real well but that's a guess on my part. These kind of decisions are why Cal get's the big bucks.

Back in my day, if you could half run-you played. Of course, we were a bunch of country boys that had to milk cows, work in tobacco, corn or hay or cut wood every day after practice. We might have been a little tougher back then than kids are now. But we could sure play ball.

A matchup against the top-ranked team in the country on ESPN might be a little more strenuous than a 16th district JV game.

I'd also be willing to wager that we have some kids who are plenty tough, even if they don't know much about cows.
