If the information starting to leak out is true then Cade Cunningham will become a Kentucky Wildcat. It is being said that he will honor his visit to Washington and then come back home and set up an announcement setting. I don't know the timing but some think it will be soon after the Washington visit. You may ask why even take the Washington visit and I believe it's just that he is honoring is word. so we might take that as a good sign and that is if he does a verbal to UK we can take him at his word. Like Jerry Meyer said yesterday at the moment Cunningham is UK's to lose. Additionally and again if this does happen as expected it is my belief that Greg Brown will also become a wildcat

adding those 2 would be great, but I still think Cal needs the big kid from New Jersey to anchor the middle
block shots & rebound. He supposedly has a way to go offensively, so he may be satisfied with not getting a lot of shots

Believe Cade and Greg Brown have a connection to the Kentucky through the guy guy who founded their AAU team the Texas Titans. this is also the same team that produced Julius Randle. As of now I'd say Cade is Kentucky's to lose. If we get Greg Brown i believe you will start to see the chips fall for Paolo Banchero as well. this would set up to be the greatest class in college basketball history.

Back in ‘98 I led the greatest coup d'état this country had ever seen.

I survived Helen ‘Mama’ Boucher and convinced her to let Mr. Coach Klein ‘take the wheel’ (not her beloved Lord and Savior) to coach her baby boy [Bobby Boucher]—the original GOAT; And I’m not talking about the one behind Mama’s house...

Hell, I even thwarted that Red Beaulieu’s tomfoolery with the NC-two-A that he brought on my Bobby and our prestigious program. Needless to say, they still didn’t keep me from my Bourbon Bowl title.

If Cal can pull this off ... he may have completed the unthinkable! Imagine, the greatest recruiting coup since Mr. Coach Klein and the ‘waterboy’. What a time to be alive!

If true, this will be my favorite team of the Cal era and that’s saying something. Guards win championships. I believe we will retain Allen, possibly Brooks in addition to Ware. Guards that are all 6’6 or taller will help any defieciency of lack of rebounding in the post.

Lighten up man. At what age did you tell your kids there was no Santa?

lol, I’m as light hearted as it gets as a dad :joy:

Your point is well-taken. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing that it sounds like he’s ours to lose. But hell man we’ve seen this before recently. I’m not trying to be a curmudgeon, but really if he’s ours then he’ll commit. Without a commitment he’s still wide open.

I can’t say that I blame you for reserving outburst of ecstasy over recruiting news. We have seen this a few times. It leaves a bruise each time doesn’t it? I’m not skeptical but I am cautiously optimistic that Cade and Brown will be Cats.

There are 3 requirements with every recruiting post Dave or any other insider so graciously shares:
1) At least one poster will ask for the sources of the said info
2) At least one poster will claim this info is old news and is already available somewhere else
3) At least one poster will ask why is the player waiting to commit

Dave, your info is always appreciated.
