Omoruyi is so long he looks the part but Jackson had 2.7 blocks per game on the Nike circuit. Omoruyi only had 1.7 bpg.
Btw Cisse, a junior, is a better shot blocker than Jackson or Omo. Interestingly, junior Banchero is almost as good a shot blocker as Jackson.

So, is Kansas in on the kid ? Can someone get Baby and Kneeburns in here to let us know if he is a Kansas lean or what the deal is ? Sorry I just can't help it.

Might just be me, but looked like dude is running in quicksand. Athletic as hell, but looks like he is running in slow motion.

Might just be me, but I have not been impressed with this kid.

Several share your sentiment. I like him personally. Think he's just hitting his stride and is type of player you want to consider when thinking of what you will need with type of team you are building--rebounder/rim protector and guy who doesn't expect to have offense run through him but can finish. He's gotten so much stronger as the video above shows. Cal offered him on spot when seeing him this Spring and he's much more impressive physically now then he was then.

A lot to sort through right now, but he's one of the more interesting recruits in terms of how fans see him and I get it both ways. Just like that size/skill set when you have a lot of scoring/offensive firepower on the team.

I probably am in the minority. I saw him last season, in person. I was very unimpressed. But, that was awhile ago. I'm sure he's gotten better. And as long as Cal likes him, that's good enough for me.

He moves so well on the few videos I have watched. Looks like a modern NBA big that might have potential to develop into something more ( Siakem ceiling or at least Capela). I am wondering if the more offensively gifted bigs we are recruiting may be worried about shots considering Clarke and Boston are bucket getters. I guess that's why PG is such a pivotal piece to the 2020 class.

Cal is swinging for the fences with this class but Omoruyi could play that Shawn Taggert type role - length and defense. We need to get a Dozier somehow too for matchup purposes. Senior Nick would help some in that regard.

Memphis references I know :) But I look at Boston as more of the Douglas-Roberts type player that is efficient and Clarke more in the mold of Rose where he can create offense off the bounce when shot clock is winding down.

Askew fits SO SO well with what we have and could have... distributor and floor spacer.
