My only real concern with this is the time he is wasting not having already joined a team when relationships are begun and sorting out together has started. The only delay that honestly makes since to me is him going to UT and waiting fo a scholarship to open.

My sources are telling me that he'll make a decision either today, tomorrow, Thursday, or sometime in the months of July or August; unless he decides to play pro ball overseas, or become an astronaut, all of which are still options.

Even if they're not the type who wants the spotlight, the PR machines for these programs are pretty intense. They'll want to announce. It's good for excitement, may sell some t-shirts, gets buzz going for next season--all good for that particular program.

I haven't seen a situation in the last few years where a player just went silent like that. It'd be very strange.

It’s been a strange recruiting season. McDaniels essentially did it. All the Duke hype. Then a little hype for another school. Then the major UK swing. Then silent. Then a very quiet “I’m going to Washington.” It was a very similar situation to what’s going on now.

So it wouldn’t shock me one bit.
